Revisiting E-Cigs - Any Vapers In Here?

I haven't seen any e-cig threads in awhile.

I'm 30, I've smoked since I was 15, smoked 2 packs a day until recently.

Anyway, I looked into vaping a couple of years ago, and it didn't quiet do it for me.

Things have come along way. I started looking into it again about a month ago, and I'm 10 days "analog" free now. The Ego-C Twists do it for me. They're variable voltage, so you can fine tune for taste and throat hit.

I'm not nicotine free but I'm not inhaling 5,000 other toxic chemicals either.

If you're a smoker who's wrote vaping off in the past I'd highly recommend giving it another look. Things have come a long way.

Do you carry around the Ego wherever you go? Use it in public?

I'm fascinated by how APVs have really taken off despite being nothing like a normal cigarette.
 
I vaped for like a year. Was on a 510 basically the entire time. Eventually casually started smoking again and like 5 months ago just up and quit.
 
I vape unless im drinking. I make an ego as well as a quality one that uses cartomizers. Both hit super good.

Yeah, I carry it everywhere.

I was at a bar the other night and a dude flipped out on me (they're not banned inside here, cigs are). I just politely explained that it's water vapor and told him I wouldn't use it if it bothered him.

I won't use it in most public places where smoking isn't allowed, just because people flip out like that.

I think AVP's are taking off because they actually satisfy. The slims (no offense, checked out your link) never did the trick for me.

If the slims ever get to the same level as an AVP cranking out at 6v I'd definitely give them another look. For now, I don't mind that it's big. It's keeping me from smoking and I enjoy it.

I absolutely hear you. No offense taken - though I don't think you actually tried my product (unless you have?) - there are a lot of performance differences between each brand out there. We've had success modifying the ohm resistance on the batteries, and put those into production with some positive results. Still, it's not enough for everyone. I am currently following all of the advancements in battery technologies. The goal is ultimately to make the devices smaller, lighter, and more powerful.

Have you noticed your tolerance to nicotine shooting through the roof? The thing that bothers me about APVs is that some smokers seem to begin to ingest significantly more nicotine than they would otherwise. With our brand anyway, 3-6 puffs is all you need for an equivalent to a cigarette, but there are some who do a lot more than that.

I guess it depends on how strong the oral fixation is.

The slims have come ALONG way. There's a huge difference between the cheap ass gas station ones a good quality one. They can hit just as hard or harder than juicing. I smoke slims over the ego.

No, I haven't tried them, and not bashing your product at all.

I know a lot of people who've switched to slims and love them. I'm all for anything that gets people away from smoking.

My tolerance to nicotine has always been through the roof. I chain vape 36mg all day long. Oral fixation is definitely a huge thing for me personally.

Aha, I see what you're saying.

Have you ever switched to 0mg? If so, how did that make you feel?
 
i vaped for about a year and it did kill my lungs, in the end it felt like i could hardly breathe...was able to quit smoking by:

smoking > snus > vaping > now am on 2-4mg Nicorette 3-6x daily

Yep, already read that a long time ago, I recommend it though.

For now I'm happy to be off of cigs, I'm fine with vaping and I'm sure I'll quit eventually.

On that note, mail just came. The CVI is a beast. Direct dripping at 15watts is a whole new experience.
