just put together this edit of Rich james and the soul sonic force- https://soundcloud.com/dj-nuff-sound/rick-james-super-freak-soul
all the way through
if you start playing at 1:10, you'll hear at 1:14 is just completely off sounding.. and the keyboard from that point on sounds like someone is mashing the keys incoherently haha. not too sure if these two go together too well.![]()
I wasnt trying to bash but ive DJ'd for over 20 years, i can tell when a beat clashes and these clash all the way through
I cant tell you the BPM's of the tracks but soul sonic sounds like its half a beat behind
Not sure if srs. I would sample a few loops that are tight from the track and reconstruct the track in time. Im not up on music tech as ive not done much production for many years but im sure there is software that does all that these days
Ok just seen you use turntables - get 2 copies of Planet Rock and juggle them for an hour and listen back to it. Perfect the art of mega mixing a single tune first. Then do it at night with the lights off and the pitch it up to like +4 and you'll get more used to mixing by feel rather than any fancy pants precision shit.
I can hear what you were trying to go for. The only way that works is if you put the Superfreak in the back seat so ppl can hear the other stuff going on.
