Rip off Report solutions?

Yeah, the curse words and putting personal information won't work. I'm guessing they screen post that have addresses in them and curse words will look like F***. I put douchebag, and they even filtered that out. Tried this earlier today and they said it was posted, but never showed up within the post. Felt like I was getting ghosted on CL again. Bad flashbacks.
 


This is the worst possible option you can do! If you post on the ROR page they you actually push it up! Don't listen to this moron!! and to the MORON who posted this - don't post shit if you don't know WTF you are talking about!! Google is not going to index your comment for cunt and ROR will just remove it - again your a moron!

First rule of reputation management - never post or respond or do anything on the bad review unless you solved the issue with the person who posted it.

It truly depends on when the RipOff Report was written. I would suggest this..

Put a comment in there that contains certain person info... Like a social security# doesn't need to be real or your "real" fake address.

Report to Google that your personal info is out there and that someone was talking to your children after finding your address on the ripoff report.

It won't leave ripoff report, but Google will pul it within 24 hours out of the serps.

Probably is that if you do it too quickly Google will not remove it if they believe that you did it yourself. So don't be stupid. Do it, wait... And then report.

Class action suit

Someone needs to organize a lawsuit on behalf of everyone getting slammed by this douche. You either pay him (Ed/ROR) to have him edit it so it becomes a positive review $2000-6000/month- for eternity, or he locks you down- no editing, no positive reviews can be written about you anywhere on his site.

Yelp is like this, but in a much more tame way
 
I have a client that has a post on ROR, and the same person did so on 4 other sites.
For those who were looking for a source, I have found and worked with a guy that was able to remove posts from several sites. I'll link to his site

Regarding Ed, and ROR....whomever said never to call him, boy you aren't kidding.
I called him a few years back, looked up his mobile line and dialed it so i got the actual guy. he was NASTY, threatened me, and said he could trace my line (which was fine because i knew better) but anyway I offered him $15,000 to remove a post and he wouldn't even consider it. He is pretty well covered, it's a shit racket but it's brilliant.

I tried this and ripoffreport published my comment, but placed "redacted" in place of the fake soc. I buried it in text that a non english speaker would not understand but they still redacted it.
 
ROR is a total scam- and someone or some group is going to nail them in a class action sooner or later. The way he deals with pay for performance to have negative posts edited is pure scandal.
Had some good PM's from reputable members here on WF with similar issues. It's one thing to bone people and then get nailed online- yelp, google + and any other review site can do that. But they dont take bribes or bribes disguised as fees. Imagine Google + or yelp asking you to pay $6-20k up front and then 3-10k monthly to "manage" your reputation on that site (ROR)

AND- all because a competitor shit the bed on you - ANY one can create a ROR review- BUT you cannot create a POSITIVE review nor can anyone else once you have a negative review. You want changes made on that site? PAY.

I don't see how this is any different than napster, Pirate bay etc. The site is hosting proven false information that may/is harmful to businesses/revenue. How can they not be liable?
 
@sambaman - Although I would normally agree that you don't post content to something you are pushing down, there is a huge difference between trying to suppress and trying to remove.

If you are looking to suppress the bad content, you should never post to it. If you have already tried and you are going for broke, well then you don't have another choice than to take the chance and post something.

SEO 101- never add to the content or update unless we WANTED it to rank. Totally agree.
Just didn't know they would not allow us to do anything once we didn't pay the piper. Total scam.

Suppression is the only thing we can do at the moment. Speaking with lawyers about options or workarounds.

sent you a PM yesterday, I tried to do what you suggested but they redacted it, even burying the number in text so it wouldn't be easilyi recognizable. Do you have a way to get these numbers through? would be very very interested as this would be a solution for a lot of people. PM me if you dont want to post it publicly
