Rip this apart PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Are you going to do some measurable split-testing with these opinions?
I'd love to see a small case study of your results.
Eg. large countdown vs small countdown

dude your whole layout and design sucks. I'd get it redone, its a confusing mess. keep it simple and stop trying to make it look pretty.

Am I reading the above deal right or would I actually have to make two separate purchases? One to buy the voucher and then purchase again on the actual merchant's page? If that's not the case the deal rules aren't very clear. If that is the case, yikes, it seems like a poor purchasing experience that me personally would stay away from. You may want to clarify that unless it's just a peculiarity of that one particular deal.

I think it's the way the text is being split up, but yeah I don't like these deals but that's an internal decision:

Enter WeeklyPlus voucher code at checkout.

Better check out your testimonials dude. First one sounds wayyyyyyyy too fake. And the second looks like it still has some template artifacts left in it.

WeeklyPlus.com - How It Works

Those are actually legitimate believe it or not :)

I had not thought about it but I may consider doing that.

We certainly need to do better at split testing. The signup page is a A|B testing system I built, but the other stuff doesn't have that. I need to learn how to get Google Website Optimizer to use dynamic content so that we can plug-in deal specific links and have it work on all of the deals.

Is there anything like GWO that I can install on the server directly? I don't like the idea of having to call over the internet to get content.

Elaborate? What exactly about the layout don't you 'LIKE'? How would you improve it? The clock seems to be the focus point of everyone that posted here so that's gonna have to change.

You should have seen the very first version of the site we launched.. Now that was a confusing mess.

I clicked the drop down for the list of cities, randomly picked Portland and now I am stuck there no matter where I click, unless I delete cookies and cache. That is one of the many things wrong with the site, but it's the one that pissed me off enough to say anything.

Sorry about that :(

That is certainly a problem, that I need to address.

@joevis: funny...

@everyone: Thanks for taking the time to check out the site and provide your feedback. Gonna digest everything and start making changes.

Not a big fan of that background colour - a different shade of blue might look better, my eyes are drawn more to the background than they should be. Also, I don't like the cogs on the right hand side.

Too bright and you probably should find a different niche than the daily or weekly deals space its so played out.

You need to identify and present the most important information as clearly as possible. It's not terrible, but right now there is noise getting in the way of what's most important.

- Use color as a function, and not just to create a nice blend of colours. Eg, If you look at groupon you can see that some of the "secondary info" is on a black background and, as a result, less prominent.

I'd go on, but I hate web design now. Read some Tufte (The king of displaying information) :D

Nobody has asked this yet? Okay, I will.

Why the gears? They do nothing for the page, and relate nothing to the concept.

Thanks everyone for continuing to provide feedback! Looks like the weekend was just awful for business due to everyone and their mother offering discounts. Lots of the comments here have made us evaluate our design in a different way and you guys really provided some fantastic feedback. I don't take shit personally and I like to hear what everyone has to say, gives you a different perspective that sometimes you don't see.

@joe & seotimeinc: Thanks and noted.

@Nick: I agree with you, the easier the better. This is an improvement over the previous version. The problem here is the clock, which is clearly too over powering due to the detail that it has.

@Human: The cogs and the clock are there because our brand has always been around clocks. The clock has internal gears and that is where the cogs were born from. It might not make sense but it has been around since 2009 and people like the theme.

@Yuckystuff: I developed it and it's been molded based on the needs of the company.

The clock either has to go completely or get way smaller.
The you can get rid of the gears as well.

If you want to keep a clock, just use a small clock icon above a box with the info.

Very quick mockup (you should a real designer do this):

"The people like it" is BS, as you came here because you have no sales.
If you do what you have always done, you'll get what you always got.

Good products on the web used to be defined by how many many cool features and tools that you could pack on to the page.

With the volume of websites that are on the internet today, it is all about who can get to the point more quickly and be as minimalist as possible while still performing the desired functions.

You need to put an image below the fold in the barren white wasteland that is your description area
