Roasting, it's deadly.

I was thinking the same thing. The roasts are fucking bad luck. Giraldo and O'Neal were both the best at each roast they were at too.

i thought patrice came off as a bitter hater at that roast...jealousy and anger can kill you. but too bad he died. i like him on o and a here and there. RIP

That's kind of what was so brilliant about him TBH. At the roast he wasn't doing real jokes at all but it was still hilarious because they were so honest and real.

Everyone has such a format for roast jokes, it was kind of genius (whether it was planned or not is anyone's guess though).

i think patrice was too obsessed about race. some of his diatribes about white people were just delusional. so calling shatner a racist makes me zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

One time a few years back I was working on some dumbass tv show called "Wanted." It was filming somewhere on Hollywood Blvd, and the basecamp was in this big parking lot.

At lunch time, I noticed Patrice was hanging out at a table eating with some of the extras. I overheard one of them ask him what his role was on the show, and he said something like "What? Oh, I'm not on this show. I just saw the trucks and stopped by for lunch."

And he was totally serious. He instantly earned my admiration.

RIP
