Surprised I didn't see a thread about this yet here, since many here supported Paul in 08. Not sure what it means looking to 2012, since he will be like 76 then, but maybe a shift in the thinking of conservatives?

He's won every straw poll that I know of , even in the 08 election........Didn't mean much.



Didn't Guliani do extremely well in the polls too?

I think Guliani did alright, maybe running like 3rd in the polls. But Romney has won the past 3 I believe, so it was a bit of a surprise. I know it doesn't mean a ton, because most Americans aren't that conservative, but I still think it shows a little sign that people are looking for a change in thinking.

I'm actually a Ron Paul supporter as well, but and it's a bit BUT. Even if he did somehow manage to get elected, passing any of his legislation would be next to impossible. I think his ideas are grand, but I just don't see many of them making it anywhere.
