Anyone know anything about the person / companies associated with this outfit?

I was examining a bunch of serps today for an unrelated project and stumbled on their network of content sites.

The apparent effectiveness + sophistication level of their seo is mind boggling.

- Much more interesting then looking up viagra and other stuff.
 


I think I've seen some of their stuff, they own sidereel amirite? Yea these guys seem to kill it in SEO
 
Assuming you are talking about Rovi Corp they are part of Macrovision. They first specialized in encoding movies. A few years back they bought TV Guide to increase their foothold in the industry.

TV Guide brings guide information to most cable companies at this point and probably owns 80% of that space. They also own the TV Guide channel which broadcasts video and uses a server to display your TV Guide lineup as it scrolls through.

They also have TV Guide Magazine and TV Guide network.

...I think they also broadcast TVG Horse Racing but I might be wrong.

Uhm...yeah that's all I know. Work in the cable industry so that's the perspective I have from them.
