looting and killing?.. killing who? do Russians kill georgian civilians?.. no. They bombed military objects and tactical objects, not civil places of living... I saw Saakashvilli said that Russia were killing civil Georgians but there were no proves, only words... Only propaganda, Saakashvilli knows that US support him... that's why he is so brave.
You can ask me, why does U.S.A. support them?.. Because Georgia is a victim?.. No. USA always act in the way that is good for U.S.A. USA wants to be the most influent country in the world, it doesn't want Russia to be supported by other countries that's why they were selling weapons to Georgia, attacked South Ossetia and then claimed Russia as an agressor. I think they planned it for a long time ago, they needed a reason to start weaking Russian positions in the world. NATO are like US ass lickers, they wait what USA say and they do it. American democracy is the most democratic democracy in the world.
If any country killed about 2000 americans, USA would make something like Iraq, and there nothing would stop them, neither UN or NATO or anything else. It's easy to assume Russia, but in fact USA should've been kicked out of ALL international organizations cause of their actions in Yugoslavia, Serbia, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. They think they can do everything they want and other countries can not. It's not democracy. it's dictatorship. USA havent't still been kicked out of them because the world financial system is based on US dollar, if the whole world goes against USA, there will be completely chaos.
You can say it's propaganda.. but hey - there is AMERICAN propaganda now on your TV channels in USA.. why do you think it's better than the point of view in my country, for example?... Why do you think everything you get on TV is TRUTH?.. I want you to answer this question - "Why are you sure that all you get by mass media in USA is truth?.." Serious arguments, please. There are no truth anywhere, because it's politics. Countries give information to their citizens as they want citizens to get it. It's so funny to see americans speaking about human rights or democracy or something like this. The whole world knows that USA is the most undemocratic country in the world thet uses their troops almost every time when they can't decide the problem by discussions. It makes me crazy to see how almost the whole world licks U.S.A's ass.. expect some countries like Russia, China and some others. Americans did what they used to do - they would send troops to Georgia saying they protect democracy.. LOL LOL LOL!!! I can't explain my feelings by words, t can't be explained by words.

What about suggestion that Russia wants to get back the counries of ex-USSR, it's also funny!.. The majority of these countries are very very poor countries, Russia DOES NOT want them to be with it, it doesn't want to spend millions to feed them. Georgia is also a poor country, many Georgians went to Russia because they didn't have job here in their native country. Russia has absolutely no reasons to control Georgia, because it's a BIGGGGG headache.

So Russia's decision to retaliate against Georgia is perfectly acceptable. Also, US will never openly support Georgia because you just do not fuck with a country that has enough nuclear potential to wipe out half the planet and the dude with the "red button" is a drunken sociopath. Bush did end up in a weird situation where he is forced to support Georgia, but is terrified of an open conflict with Russia. Never mind the fact that Georgia gas very little value to US.
In conclusion - this conflict has NOTHING with US. Bush's half-arsed "demand" for immediate withdrawal of Russian troops will be as far as this thing goes.
As for news and propaganda - mass media stopped delivering accurate news a long time ago. We live in a world where controversy dictates what's going to be on the news. Just look at the trend on the TV with all the reality shows. Either way, it is a lot more exciting to tell people that the Russains are still running rampant across the "peaceful" countryside slaughtering innocents then to say that the conflict is over.

To me it looks like news in US are very manipulated, and yes Popeye you may believe in "freedom of speech" in US but comparing English , German, Russian news I strongly believe that all news are censored here by government.
Talked to many people and they all asking me why Russia started war with Georgia. Nobody even knows how and who started it. Nobody knows about south Ossetia. So here you go, in all average American minds Russia is aggressor that attacked poor nation of Georgia.
I don't understand how people can stand be fooled like that years after years; like Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq was not enough.

That's what is a freedom of speech in USA... Americans are blind, they assume Russia in dictatorship, they see communists and KGB everywhere, however it's fact that USA is much closer to USSR-like freedom of speech than Russia now...
