Certified Offer Service is a Network Solutions® service that enables customers to make an offer to buy a domain name that has already been registered. To learn more about Certified Offer Service visit www.CertifiedOfferService.com.

and some other crap. Whatcha think?

Depends on the link and the e-mail headers. What domain do you end up at if you click the "secured link"?

You've probably already found out that CertifiedOfferService.com is run by Network Solutions. So there's nothing fishy in the parts of the e-mail that you pasted.

The link takes me to https://www.certifiedofferservice.com/CertifiedOffer/offer/initialOffer.do?transactionKey=blablabla

then gives me a bunch of options where i can accept reject or counter offer... i dunno seems ok to me...but dont like when it says this:
  • A check is issued to the domain name Registrant listed in WHOIS.
  • You have 3 business days to update the WHOIS with the correct contact information and to remove any type of WHOIS privacy service on the domain name. View the Registrant information in WHOIS.

It's not a scam.

The domain registration info for certifiedofferservice.com and the details of the SSL cert at the website are proof enough for me.

Edit: But the price you were offered is likely a rip-off.

i posted about this once upon a time. I get tons of those types of emails trying to sell me my own domains.
