I used to get down about this, thinking they were stupid.

Then I realized that they aren't neccessarily stupid, they just like getting elected and being in power, so they do whatever they need to do to make that happen.

That's when I realized they were essentially evil people who pretend to be doing a "service" for their neighbors in order to justify their ceaseless pursuit of unearned (read: bestowed by ballot) power over those same neighbors.
 
Well, I hope the monthly EBT deposits are going up too, or else there's going to be hell to raise.

I'm sure those EBT card owners will be expecting a raise out of this too.

I guess she's all for people being able to earn a "living wage" provided they don't earn that fucking wage by renting property.
 
Yup I'd have no prob with this if states/cities weren't also supported by the fed gov. It'd be great actually if states could conduct experiments on different isms and ways of living w/out other cities/states having to bail them out if they fuck up. But that's impossible now since we're all so beholden to the almighty Fed gov and it's taxes and supposed 'protection'.

I remember in other thread some fat neckbeard was neckbearding about how "the companies won't just axe half the employees that they've got new responsibilities if they don't want to get replaced and keep their $15 an hour".
