Second Heathcare Worker Has ebola

Apparently, she came to Atlanta as well... Which just happens to be the busiest airport in the world!

12 Monkeys Anyone?

He just bought a $100mm property in Hawaii.

His ebola escape plan?

Ebola has a low infection rate, each infected person only infects, on average, two more people over ~3 weeks.

Measles by contrast infects 18 people for every person, and does so in under 10 days, while AIDS infects 4 people over life.

Ebola exposes just how rotten and corrupt the west, particularly the US has become.

You have a black president only elected because of the color of his skin (98% black vote) in the stupidity that is 1 person, 1 vote system.

You have a nepotist incompetent jew in a position of power in Tom Friedan, like with most government positions.

You have retarded female nurses endangering hundreds of people in a mix of union based stupidity and the female imperative left unchecked.

The decadent west is led by pure incompetents and radical cultural-marxists.

can't help but feel this is way more infectious than we've been told up until now.

Watching the politicians and public figures back peddling - and just hearing the tone they're speaking in - has got me pretty worried. They seem a lot more nervous than what they're letting on publicly.

I tend to agree with this, and agree they've known it's more infectious than they're letting on for quite a while.

There seems to be a couple different levels of care and precautions being provided here. Are you just a pleb? Well, here's your hospital bed and Molly the Nurse will be in shortly to take care of you. Are you important? Then no worries, we'll send a specially fitted plane to pick you up, and take you to a specialized CDC lab where you'll get the best treatment.

First couple US ebola patients were sent to a CDC center in Atlanta, were they not?

No, they were sent to Emory University Hospital, which specializes in cardiology and transplants. Nothing to do with the CDC, that I am aware of, though it seems they do have an infectious disease unit.

edit: It looks like the latest patient, this nurse, has been taken to the same hospital now...

edit edit: it would seem they are also treating another male patient there, a health care worker from Sierra Leone. Never heard about that one...

CDC: Woman with Ebola shouldn't have flown commercially - CNN.com

I was at the walk-in the other day and this nurse kept coughing and coughing and coughing, she'd go into one of the empty doc's offices and just hack up a lung every few minutes. She wasn't covering her mouth. If a nurse can't even handle herself properly for a common cold, we're all fucked.

Did you guys see the latest breaking news? The CDC confirms that the 2nd nurse called them before getting on the plane since she had a low grade fever. They told her it was OK!

This worries me for a couple of reasons. With the 1st nurse, they blamed her for getting ebola, but all the protocols that have leaked clearly put the blame on the CDC. The 2nd nurse, the CDC said she never should have got on a plane, but turns out they told her to get on it.

They seem to be more interested in saving their own butts from embarrassment or the appearance of incompetence, but I think we are going to see the public start to distrust everything they say, since they keep getting caught in lies.

Scary stuff, there.

OK, so CNN reported that Emory is one of four hospitals with this kind of infectious disease isolation...

An official close to the situation says that in hindsight, Duncan should have been transferred immediately to either Emory University Hospital in Atlanta or Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Those hospitals are among only four in the country that have biocontainment units and have been preparing for years to treat a highly infectious disease like Ebola.

FYI - I would caution to call the 2nd Dallas nurse a dumb bitch for flying. She contacted the CDC SEVERAL times about her low grade fever of 99.5. THEY made the decision that it was okay and TOLD HER she could fly since her temp had not hit 100.4 yet.

Then they said - she should not have done that - only to apologize and backpedal when it was proven that she had consulted them.

However, our President has now told us that everything is going to be okay. We have a Ebola SWAT team now.

Scary stuff in the Dallas reddit thread IF true!

Most politicians are such colossal cunts that they'd burn down half the world just to save a little face. And ya, Head of _____ means politician.

it is not more infectious than they say. That you can't understand their words is your very own personal fucking problem
