On the firing line
Here's the deal: I'm no longer SEO_Mike. Haven't been in SEO for ages (close to 8 years to be exact).

Soo... I've got a new client that wants to mix in a healthy dose of SEO with their other marketing strategies. They have budgeted $25,000 for SEO for the first year.

Now, I come to you, the Wickedfire community, asking:

"If you had $25,000 to spend on SEO in a year, where would you allocate those funds?"

SEO is dead. Thanks to:

Roulette, and say a Google update destroyed all of the SEO efforts you made.

The first thing I would do is install my limited edition bloghue plugin on a network of about 100 - 500 sites and add content daily over several shared hosting plans. Really that's all I would do until all of those sites had some trust / authority... Then slowly start interlinking, doing all of the on site stuff and linking to my money site. Obviously, with that budget you could do a lot more fancy shit than this, but that's where I'd start.

5k on epic and clean/simple/friendly design from dreamache
??? on unique and awesome content from StackCash
???? on SEO shiet from me + mattseh + CCarter + Grindstone + Hobbster + guerilla for a solid 3 or 6 month SEO plan.

BRO THIS IS EASY.

1.) Say your going to engage his target demographic via twitter and facebook.
2.) Get some guest blog posts, couple of retweets from some people in the industry.

3.) Charge the nigga more because your building his brand.

4.) Buy some CCarter Links and tell him he is a big brand now

5.) Take a Vacay.

Get a couple nice infographics made.
Get a custom coded tool made relevant to their niche.
Run some sort of giveaway or contest.

Buy your client a 1-800 number and a virtual mail box address. Tell him he's officially a "Big Brand". Cash $25k check.

I'd buy some really, really well written content that has a chance of going viral. I'd wine and dine top bloggers in the arena to get write-ups about the company. Then i'd spend the rest on PPC.

Is that all it takes to get niche specific "content" to go viral? You must have represented some big brands at 1 point
