Shit's about to go down in NYC

Mike Brown earned his bullets. This dude got strangled to death on video and still no indictment. You can't even justify it by saying he was resisting arrest because what he was accused of doing is fucking petty bullshit.

I get that he was a fat unhealthy motherfucker and that didn't help, but this shit should have at least gone to trial. Unfortunately, all those fucking retards protesting that idiots death in Ferguson are going to cause people to be less outraged by this. Boy who cried wolf and all that shit. Yet another reason not to make a martyr out of idiots like Mike Brown.

I did not login to WF for a month or more as I was too lazy to change password (damn "change your password" rule of WF) . Finally changed the password and logged in just to +rep for this post.

Obama: "we're buying 50,000 new body cams with your tax money!"

So is he going to also fund all the new jobs it's going to take to manage the video captured? I talked to police captain last week and while laughing about the stupid shit in Ferguson, he was telling me it will be a nitemare to handle all the bodycam video. It's no different than all the traffic cam video, alot of work.

What's next, 50,000 drones to monitor the streets?

I don't know, I'm curious to see what will happen with this one. Depends on how media reports things I guess, but this one should have far more support from the general populous. I think it's pretty obvious the Mike Brown one was at least justified. Whatever happened, it was enough to make that cop fearful for his life, so he reacted accordingly.

This one in NY is total bullshit though, and everyone (I hope) can see that. The guy was straight up murdered, and there's video evidence publicly available all over the internet showing the murder taking place. It's pretty tough for the cops to refute this one.

So my only conclusion is, everything in politics is planned, and nothing happens without a reason. They're trying to incite civil disobedience, for one reason or another. I guess time will tell.

I don't understand that deadly choke hold on him, I don't understand why there are more than 5 cops over petty complaint. The chief of police will fire the cops involved.
Sad shit really.

The whole world can watch a video of cops murder someone in broad daylight and little to nothing happens as a result of it. Pretty sickening.

Yup i actually felt short of breath and claustrophobic while watching this one. Not being able to breath is like the worst way to die (includes drowning, suffocation, etc). This was a complete obvious case of police brutality/murder. But what needs to be said is these cunts are doing this to both BLACKS AND WHITES, and I doubt this was racially motivated in any way.

The media will push this one further because there's a lot more at stake here, ferguson was just the starting point. As long as there's outrage and fear, they're the first ones to jump on board as usual

If you have a monopoly on a product or service, and can legally use force - or the threat of such - to make people buy it, you can do whatever you want without serious consequence.

Very well said, something similar came to mind as I scrolled through the thread. There's a fine take on this incident at The Federalist today: Eric Garner and Omnipresent Police Power

Unfortunately for the left-wing, they're starting to see the fruits of their labor. Government = Force. More government, more use of force....

The contradiction of the left is that they want to inject government into every little aspect of our lives and mandate that the police confront us all the time over everything—and then they scream when some of those confrontations go wrong. In this way, they are not only hoping for a new series of contentious, racially charged killings. By extending the reach of government and the omnipresence of police power in our lives, they are creating the conditions that make those cases inevitable.
It's also very telling that the incident that got this guy killed is directly caused by the nanny-stating / over-regulating / money-grabbing policies implemented by government:

The thing that strikes me as most important about the Garner case is how stupid the reason was for arresting this guy: he was being busted for selling single, “loose” cigarettes in order to evade heavy taxes on tobacco products. Basically, he was arrested for doing something that, in a previous era, thousands of people would have been doing in New York on any given day: selling goods on the streets of the city without any particular permission. It’s a low-grade form of entrepreneurialism.

But not in the nanny-state New York of today. In a city where everything is taxed and regulated and you can’t put trans-fats in your food or buy a soda that’s too large, it makes perfect sense that they would harass a guy for selling cigarettes on the streets without permission. After all, they’re bad for people. Somebody might die.
I mentioned to someone that in NYC you'll eventually see someone getting killed due to use of force for the crime of holding an extra-large portion of fries or a Super Big Gulp. Of course he thought that totally insane, until I reminded him that this dude was killed for selling single cigarettes - something that homeless people here in Vancouver do in droves every Friday and Saturday night.

Although the cop should be indicted on manslaughter charges at the very least, the real guilty parties here are over-reaching politicians, as usual.

Both sides are pushing for the police state.

The right with their obsession with being tough on crime and equipping the police with ridiculous amount of arnaments, and the left with their obsession with making everything a fucking crime .

The media just fans the fuels. I swear the most scary thing about these recent incidents isn't the race aspect, its the police state aspect.

I vote for all cops to have cameras with audio and for all the footage to be uploaded real time somewhere it can be viewed publicly and instantly. This will protect both the cops and us the people.

let's not pretend any of those measures will stop the racial outrage. there is zero evidence in either of the Ferguson or NYC cases to suggest racial motives, and yet here we are.

bodycams may help reduce corruption, and i'm for them. that said, what they will certainly do is provide more fodder for the whackjob interpretations of racebaiters and their lemmings so we can have more riots and unrest.

we elected a black president, and our country has curiously been set back 50 years in race relations as a result... all based on innuendo. and now our commander in chief is calling for the very tools which will lead to more unrest. not trying to quell innuendo... trying to increase exposure. makes you wonder what his objective is.

Pussy! I watch COPS the TV show all the time. That takedown is standard procedure. Happens on nearly every episode. There will be like 10 cops and one cop will do the choke hold takedown. The perps say the same thing every time. "Ouch your hurting me." I cant breathe." I give up." Cops never let up until both hands are cuffed.

I think the real issue in these two cases is the mentality of black people. They feel they are entitled to tell the police to go away because they dont feel like getting arrested.

If Brown and this guy hadnt resisted or fought, they would both be alive. That guy on video said before the choke hold, "This ends now!" As a cop, you have to take that as a threat coming from some one so much bigger than you.

Oh yea, and I hate cops. Have no respect for them, but these two instances seem justified to me.

Ya I think knowing the guy died from the choke hold made it worse when I was watching it. The sick part being it appeared to me that he was struggling so that he could breathe.. but the cops took it as resistance and worked him harder. It makes me sick thinking about being in that guys position while suffocating.

No I don't think this guy had it coming for saying "This ends now".

But the other dude had it coming for grabbing a god damn cop gun, beating the shit out of him and non-stop charging at the cop (if that was all true).

Actually the cause of death was a heart attack on the way to the hospital an hour after the incident.

Serious, their uniforms and style look like a mix from german nazis ss and russia para military forces.

Both had that sharp black style for a reason and for a message and it was not "to help and protect the people".
