OK, here's my 2 cents:

While it is very important for potential buyers to have reviews to bank on before purchasing someone's services, don't you think it is equally important to protect the interests of the the service providers?

Agreed, the power lies with the guys with the cash in hand certainly. BUT, shouldn't there be some sort of balance to keep bad/harassing buyers in line? Seems kinda lop-sided ATM.

Reviews of Buyers done by other providers can help providers determine whether they want to do business with a certain client and if yes, what should they expect.

Maybe we should have something along the lines of the current reviews being published for providers, for example, buyers can be reviewed on:

Clarity of Instructions/Goal of assignment
Details Provided
Communication/Availability to provide clarifications
Professionalism
Payment Speed/Problems (something along those lines)

Your thoughts?

If you are in business, expect to have difficult and demanding customers. I can tell you this, my most difficult and demanding customers, when dealt with properly, have also been my most LOYAL customers.

If someone is "harassing" you to get an order out, for example, and you execute, guess who they are going to come to next time?

Occasionally I have had to toss a customer but it is pretty rare.

Maybe you should shut the fuck up and GTFO with your 30 posts and 2 iTards.

If you provide a quality service and deliver what you say when you say you won't have issues with "bad/harassing" buyers.

If you don't like the way it works then take you shit services elsewhere.

This is NOT from personal experience. Just an interesting though that occurred to me so I thought I'd find out what others felt about it.

Didn't say the reviews had to be done by newbs like me either!

No need really. If a service is good the positive feedback will overwhelm any negative. A buyer merely needs to provide cash, and they've fulfilled their end of the bargain. On the other hand, a seller has to deliver a service, and having their reputation on the line is an incentive to deliver the service promptly and well.

tldr; no.

No trouble for me so far. I get my money up front then I provide a quality product. For some reason I've had my thread voted down on the number of stars which could be hurting, and I'm not sure where that came from because all the reviews I've gotten have been great. Haters gonna hate I guess.

I have never had problems with people not paying on Wickedfire. the only times I've had problems is when they e-mail me directly. One guy did this last week from 4 different e-mail accounts and stole some content. Still, that was the only time.

I guess content writing is a little bit different than something like dofollow lists and such. However, if you're ever in doubt (like if the buyer has <30 posts and <10 itrader), then just demand payment upfront. Or, if it's really a problem for you, just ignore the message in the first place and only sell to respected members.

Having just started out on this forum selling my writing services, I haven't had a problem with any buyers so far. I have been giving people the benefit of the doubt because I am the "new guy" and no one has taken advantage of me. Seems like the system is doing just fine as it is, but those who blatantly scam/rip off others should be called out.

I think quality control needs to be in place. Some forums have a Senior Seller / Novice Seller section, which seems like a good idea.

This is what triggered my question:

Legit, Well-Respected Provider >> Screwed By Buyer

Note how he still has 187 iTraders with 99% positive. NTM that his reputation is "beyond repute".

And guess what... he got called out. So the system does work. A buyer acts like an idiot and now he has to have a signature which links to the thread where he was called out.

In this example you gave, the system worked perfectly.

True true, I really like that about WF (tho I know that sounds like a noob thing to say, but I've a mild case of verbal diarrhea ATM coz i can't stop saying it enuff - and not just on the forum - waiting for the novelty to wear off!).

You can't fuck around, buyer OR seller. But what the heck! reviewers are reviewed too! Haha.... thought it should be an equal world!

When you provide a service, run a business, etc....you are the customer's bitch. That's just how it works. If you don't want to take a customer's money, there's 10 other guys that will.
