This being a community with diverse members who might commute to other jobs before they make it to total self employment,here are some tips on how to save gas this summer. Lo and behold having your ac on wont kill you on gas. Be cormfortable. :)

Dunno about you guys but where I live it can get up to 101 degrees with 99% humidity here. In case you haven't lived through that, just trust me: it's a special kind of heat. One you can feel in your lungs.

I don't drive much but I damn sure don't go anywhere during the summer without my A/C on the "max" setting. But believe it or not, I've gotten in the car with people around here that still refuse to run their A/C. What good is saving a few pennies on gas by not running the A/C when you have to steam-clean your car because it smells like smelly, sweaty butt? Not much, if you ask me.
 
bro i drive a taxi on weekends while working on im, trust me the fucking heat is too much during the day. There is also money to be made during the day, fuck saving a few pennies. I was roasting myself till i read this article and went oh hell no. :)
 
Some interesting stuff in there, but i don't know about shutting down every time you have to sit in traffic or at a light...i think that would be worse wear and tear on your engine than the gas savings are worth. Cruise is nice though, especially with an hour commute like some of us have!
