Our president already has the Nobel Peace Prize. He can do (not do) whatever he wants.

My understanding is that Syria is a sensitive bulwark in that region which the west doesn´t dare to piss off in order to protect Israel´s interests.

Hypocrisy of the West?

Soldiers beat up prisoners in a bus (I don't even wanna know what they did to them once they got to prison)

Maybe they took them to a foreign country, imprisoned them without a trial. water boarded them until they confessed, and took home videos of them being degraded sexually and otherwise for their own amusement.

Or they could have just handed them over to one of their allies to do the really nasty stuff.
