The Republic of Texas
Well my bro-in-law and wife just had a baby girl. Her abbreviations are SKS. I am going to have some fun with this. They are not as passionate about guns as I am...which is fucked up because they live in Texas...I think we have the most guns per capita than any state(I think it is safe to assume).

Who knows maybe I might start some internet venture talking about guns and utilize what good ol' Uncle Sam taught me while in the military..(currently my military skills are not very transferable in the real world, well I take that back if I want to work for Blackwater USA).

Thought about war profiteering on the small arms side but the ATF, FBI, and Interpol would probably want to speak with me.

Anyways, three cheers for SKS!

If I were a billionaire I would buy black water USA. Those guys kick ass. I tried to convince my wife to let me join, she wasn't going for it.

Yeah, I know the feeling, my wife is the same way.......I might try to join them on the corporate level as a buyer or some other kind of support function. I will have to get a job after college until this internet marketing thing really takes off and even if it does take off, I would probably still work for them just for the fun of it and for the "benefits". I have a buddy who is a "contractor" for them....he has got some crazy ass stories(de-classified shit). It appears the war on terror is also in some very unlikely places.

Have you guys seen any of the videos of Blackwater in Iraq?

Pretty intense shit, there was actually a video Blackwater protecting a building, the only person that was injured was a Marine Corp machine gunner that was with them. They held off the attackers and when they were running low on supplies and asked for a military chopper they said it was too hot or some shit... Well Blackwater flew in one of their own choppers to drop supplies and I believe pickup the Marine...

Call me a gun nut or a war monger.... But that kind of shit gives me a chubby...

Yeah, those guys make me proud. I did 4 years in the Army, never got deployed (believe it or not, lots of people in the military want to be deployed, else why did they join?)

My old roommate got stationed in Iraq recently, he's riding around as gunner on a HumVee (sniper bait) taking care of some PIO (public information officer). I hope to hear some good stories from him.

It all depends where you go though. Another guy that was stationed with me was in the south of Iraq and he said they lounged around all day eating, smoking cigarrettes, and taking naps. He didn't get engaged once in the 6 months he was there.

Ive always wanted to join, but I havent yet, and the way it looks, I wont ever either...

I keep a pretty decent cache of guns stuffed in my house...

Right now ive got:
Olllld Bolt Action .22
Level Action Winchester .32 (Ground pounder.. About $1 a bullet though)
16 Guage Shotgun

Ive always wanted a Mini 14 and im looking to pick one up off GunBroker when I get back from a cruise to Mexico in mid july..

Here's the gun I want:

Barrett M107 .50 caliber sniper rifle.

Not really sure why I would need one in Omaha, NE. We don't have many terrorists running around here, but out in western Nebraska, there are prairie dogs. Imagine one of those little fuckers getting hit with a .50 cal slug! *big splatter* :D :2gunsfiring_v1:

I've got a Mini 14, it's kick ass - 30 round clip, flash suppressor, folding stock.

I can't wait until I'm 22 (after the Naval Academy or NROTC) so I can become a Marine infantry officer (screw IM)!

Yeah right now I am in the process of turning my normal Maverick 88 12 guage shotgun into a tactical mod, with a collapsible stock. Sorry, no pictures available yet.

It will be for home defense of course. Shotguns are the best for home defense.

I was drooling on one of those ata sports shop here. Unbelievable, they look like a fucking cannon!

I have an SKS, they are a funner than shit to shoot.

Nothing better than firing a shotgun at the enemy, so any nearby hostage or family member can also get hit eh? ;)

I said defense, not offense, obviously you wouldn't catch SWAT going in with pump action shotguns during a hostage situation. In a CQB (Close Quarters Combat), no hostage situation, when a pump action shotgun explodes the slug pattern is heavily concentrated at close ranges, ideally in home defense you are confined in concentrated areas, so distance is limited and the diameter of the slug pattern is smaller, but as distance increases the diameter becomes larger and as you pointed out others can be injured, ideally more bad guys. So I am assuming I am going to be in a concentrated area (spare me on the assume bullshit). Test out different shotguns here. The automatic one is fun. You have to scroll down a little.
