Slaughtering Innocence

That's fucked up. Dolphins are such beautiful, friendly animals. I'm not like a militant animal rights activist or anything, but humans should show those that we share the planet with a little respect. Except for cattle, because they taste so damn good. Who wants a steak?

ok, so the way they kill them is pretty aweful. But stating that they are then eaten is nothing different to eating cattle, thats nothing to fight for!

And i've never believed in keep animals in cages.

Awful and sad. Does the 20 yr Ban not apply to Japanese Govt.?
Damn.it sucks

Its an international ban... I'm no huge animal rights activist either... It just seems like this is one of those extreme issues that needs the word spread a little bit.

I'm not saying we should invade the fuckers... but look at it this way-
INTERNATIONAL BAN

It's still just a big fish...mammal

While that may be true... there is still a ban on it.

If you didn't read the article - heres a little more info-

In this bay - They set up nets so the dolphins swim in, and have a difficult time getting back out of the cove.

Here they use large sticks / poles to just stab the fuck out of the dolphins til they die.

Blood spread is noticeable for miles in the water... read the article you'll like it.

eek. These types of issues make me uncomfortable to be sure. Mostly because they are so gray. Who the fuck likes hearing about killing dolphins? Especially in that manner. But if you think about it how is it much different then they way they treat and slaughter cattle and chickens? Being hung upside down and having your throat slashed can't be that humane....How do we decide to care more about dolphins than cattle? If I were going to be honest with myself, being a vegetarian would be the way to go, it certainly feels right. But it's way too much of a pain in the ass, besides I love me a good hamburger. So I guess I'll stay on the dark side.

I agree with turbolapp, theres certainly a line between humane and inhumane, where you draw that line, who knows. It seems fucked up to us that they stab them and slash there throats but is having a fish swallowing a hook (Hooks mostly get caught in the mouth, but also swallow them) and being yanked by it really so much more humane?

I guess its different and certain animals have gained the title of food (Cows, chickens, pigs, etc) while some are off limits. Every culture eats different things, which is based on whats available to them. I mean shit, some places eat Cat while we cherish them as pets.

While I can say I dont agree with the method of how they actually kill them (Stabbing, spearing and slicing) I dont really agree that its completely fucked up or tragic. If you think it is, how do you feel about chickens being stuffed in cages or cows standing in 2 feet of there own shit and piss while waiting to be taken inside to die.

I think there should be certain rules and regulations depending on how close to extinction certain species are. Other then that, people gotta eat too...
