So I start my new job tomorrow. Yes, I'm still in the daily grind and working on going full-time with AM.

I'm going to be selling credit card insurance to people calling in to activate their CC. Since WF is the ever-flowing spring of knowledge, I thought I would get some advice for makin da monies wit da commishun.

tl;dr - Your best advice to make people buy credit card insurance they don't need. All suggestions welcome; I might even try some.

Just ask them how they'd cope if their credit cards were stolen.

Quote some BS figure about the average cost of credit card theft to a user

Then ask if they and their family would like to be protected against that risk, for a low fee. They can, of course cancel at any time.

give them a link to a cc insurance flog or farticle with your number on it instead of a link :338:

Call them first as Best Buy, and ask them where'd they like their Plasma TV delivered to.

tell them they can get a trial of insurance free. send em a contract with some bullshit fine print and rebill the shit out of them.

Find out what the successful people in the office are doing to get things to convert for them. Take their ideas and push forward with it using your own skills and voice.

Then take those successful people in the office and push them down the stairs or make them disappear. By killing them or making them feel unwelcome, you can take their customers and eliminate your competition. Market share by competition elimination. It worked for the robber barons, why not you?

I'm sure the company you're working for will have a pre scripted dialogue that they've tested and works. Go with that until you get comfortable, and by then you'll probably have figured a few things out on your own and you'll be able to wing it and make sales.

you own a credit card riiiight.... and you've seen how easy it is to gain access to your money on those news stories riiiiiight? Well all i want to do is make sure your protected in the instance something like this happens to you...and believe me it happens a lot more than people think and without the proper protection can end up being a very scary situation.

I help set up call center, etc. This is INSURANCE - ie, it's regulated.

You are going to be scripted. Also, expect about 10% of your calls to be monitored, scored, and reviewed for compliance. And you'll be on one end of a predictive dialer so don't expect to have a lot of free time between calls.

You'll have some leeway - but not a lot.
