SnapVertise - Bankrupt but send us traffic

Yes, in fact some do. You just don't hear from them because risk management means avoiding problems so big that you get into negative cashflow situations.

No offense to you CCarter, because I know you are simply echoing a common enough sentiment, but that is a bullshit statement.

There are CERTAIN ELEMENTS of this industry that are a fucking joke. These elements use a "style over substance" method of attracting business, but don't have the experience, the knowledge or in some cases the interest in backing up their style with sound business practices.

What's an even bigger fucking joke is that there are a ton of people who fall for the flash and who fall for the "anything goes, let's stack paper and fuck bitches" attitude. Then they come to boards and vent their anger when they wind up losing their money. But they could have avoided the whole situation had they done a little research before investing their time and money.

I know some might reply and think I'm pointing out a single individual. That simply isn't true. I wish it were true, then our entire business wouldn't be tagged with statements like "this whole industry is a fucking joke". But this same scenario happens over and over again.

Truth is, 90% of this business is legit. But the bullshit that comes out of the remaining 10% seems to get 90% of the attention.

Your right Max, There are a handful of networks I do respect and yours is one of them. Ad4Dough is another.

ccarter calm down bro

Your right, I get really riled up when I keep seeing shit like this go on and on, over and over again. I personally haven't lost a dime from these networks. I'd rather send people in and feel out the environment or get feedback from several current clients behind the scenes before signing up. I personally visit anyone I want to do major business with. If a campaign starts growing, it's time to stop by their office for a "surprise visit". Within 5 minutes you know what you're walking into.

What's crazy is I seem more angry than the people that are losing hundreds of thousands of dollars from these flaky networks.

most people who run with these networks are slash and burn and run horrible traffic quality for the advertiser.

most of these networks are blacklisted from advertisers and brokering from reputable aff networks. i've had advertisers and networks tell me straight up that the traffic coming from these networks is trash...

it is only a matter of time before the network or advertiser gets fed up and doesnt pay for fraudulent traffic

as these properties were highly tied to the SnapVertise marketing distribution network

aka "we copied what converted well and launched our own internal offer in an effort to fuck the advertisor that ran with us in good faith but since we didn't pay any affiliates these offers don't get any traffic either".

What a fucking shit show, I can't wait for this industry to course correct.

Question is when you have affiliate networks available like CJ.com why would you run shit for these peasants ?

I've always wondered the same thing.
I assume these smaller networks provide opportunities for some niche traffic and allow more sketchy shit.

If i'm doing affiliate stuff I never fuck with anything less than a billion dollar network, or I work direct for the retailer with whom I've established a personal relationship.

I guess it would be different if I had a diff biz model but I've been steadily trying to move away from the hit and run type stuff and become a more legit fellow.

I don't even...
