Interesting. Looks like it'll be a success.

Speaking of iterating on existing ideas... I was saying in Skype yesterday it seems like there isn't a "live" uDemy.com/lynda.com that exists. Something that allows instructors to create scheduled live classes through a platform like google hangout. It's one thing to follow a video course, but entirely another thing when you're learning live while being able to interact/ask questions to the instructor.

It has to exist already on some level I assume.. Let me know if so gay brothern.

You're talking about webinars (of god how I hate that word), but with a much more regimented schedule? I can't believe there isn't something like this already. I know loads of businesses that do training sessions online for employees and for their customers, but is someone like Harvard doing online courses with scheduled class times? With Q&A? I was going to say that having a dialogue and answering questions in real time might have some value, but would it really? Why not just submit your comments and questions and have the prof answer them as completely as possible when it's convenient?

Great site, neat concept. Just the other day I was looking for a real-life photo of a business office.

live webinars... horrible, horrible, horrible.

Takes just the timezone problem to make it completely unusable for half the world.

Then you have all the problems live TV has.

Accidents on camera, no retake, just a traffic jam and the live webinar is bust because the star/teacher couldn't make it.

UNLESS you'll also be recording them for later perusal, count me out.
