MS released the consumer preview here Windows 8 Consumer Preview ISO formats night. It's not too shabby. I'll probably throw it on another computer when I get some time, but I played with it in a VM for a little bit.
The start menu/metro isn't really that jarring and pinning a weather or twitter app on the side is a nice rudimentary form of tiling I suppose.
I wish they added more keyboard-only navigation for metro though because I feel like most people who own a tablet also own a Bluetooth keyboard for typing, but they won't bring a mouse along with them as well. So it would make sense if you could get around by just using the keyboard.
There's probably no real reason to switch/upgrade to it from a business standpoint, Office 15 will run on Windows 7 and the performance upgrades are nice, but RAM is cheap, and you should already have an SSD.
