I thought it was just a lay over. I read somewhere that you can just hit the windows button and it will jump to the basic system you use now and then you toggle between the platforms

Microsoft - being really, really streamlined, efficient and completely free of bloat since 1975.

No doubt it'll require 2GB of ram and at least 30 cooling fans just to run Explorer. Hmmm, that's just soooo dreamy.

I love Windows 7, which means I'm probably going to absolutely hate Windows 8. I'll wait for their next major release. Microsoft only seems to put out a good OS every second try.

Found a list of keyboard shortcuts that help somewhat. Windows 8 Consumer Preview: Windows Key Keyboard Shortcuts Going to throw this on a real computer a little bit later to see how I like it. Enjoying it so far. The music/weather metro app on the side is awesome. A twitter/rss/big clock distraction would be nice too. I wouldn't mind having more robust tiling, but that can be handled by third party programs I suppose. Same deal with workspaces.

I prefer Vista. 7 would be decent if they changed the taskbar and got rid of that stupid grouping. I don't see how it's twice the size of Vista, it doesn't need to be.

if i was using my toaster 14 hours a day 7 days a week to sustain my business and livelihood I better damn have an interest in which model is best fit to do so.

Right click the taskbar > Properties > Taskbar buttons > Never combine (or combine when taskbar is full if you prefer)
