Dont we want this case study not to benefit from a site like wickedfire but rather links we would actually use to rank our own sites?
This is a great idea. I don't have the time to get involved right now but happy to start playing with conversion rate optimisation as the project gets further down the track.

Yes, there should be some structure. I don't have any structure in place now.
I think that should be decided upon by the group.
Also, I think we're getting Asana setup for the task management. That will handle up to 30 people for free. So, there should be less than that for the upper echelon.
Ideally, I think there should be a few people that the community decides should lead different departments. SEO, Content, Design, whatever... and those department heads will work through Asana and communicate with their teams. This is just off the top of my head, so if anybody has a better idea, hit me with it.
External sig links here are nofollow, so not much point from an SEO perspective.
that's right, I completely forgot that nofollow links are useless from an SEO perspective...I remember Matt Cutts said something about that once.

That's why I asked for them, because they are nofollow and don't provide any ranking benefit whatsoever, which is why we've never been able to use WF sig links to rank threads for people's names, or places like Albany Plantation, ever.
