55% of america then is right. I can't wait to get started on this one.

But for now check out http://answersingenesis.org/

You read anything on that website yet ;) I'm a good debater, but I dare they they are smarter, what with PhD's from the nations top schools and all that.

You actually BUY the stuff from Answers in Genesis? That's hilarious. Everybody at AiG is an idiot, and the fact that they've got a few people with fancy degrees means nothing when you consider that they're outnumbered 100:1 by people with equal degrees and far more professional accomplishments who will say they're completely wrong.

I'm not going to debate you because, if you actually believe the world is ten thousand years old, you don't have anything intelligent to say. But if you do have even the slightest interest in the actual truth, you can look up any of AiG's claims on the Index of Creationist Claims and see why it's wrong: http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/list.html

Stop embarrassing yourself by admitting to belief in the Flintstones and start down the path to sanity.

I am just saying, I don't believe in a higher power but I don't make not believing into a religion, think you and many atheists do!

Read Richard Dawkins' book, "The God Delusion." He explains the logical case for this kind of unabashed, confident atheism extremely well. If you take these kinds of issues seriously, it's really required reading, and no matter where you stand everything will be much clearer in your head when you're done.

Fervent non-belief is not a faith position. We have a very well-justified objection to the whole idea of faith. Atheists prefer to honestly not know some answers (and work hard to find out, using the responsible fact-based methods of science) instead of dishonestly pretending to know. But "not knowing" is not a license to just make something up, and that's what God is. Our position is "we don't know, and they sure as hell don't know."

read about this shit? fuck man you are busy calling me names, I am just playing you like an idiot to see what you will come up with next, I really don't give a fuck about it.
However it seams to me that not believeing in a higher power and then spending so much time justifying the non existance is a waiste of what little time you have on this earth seeing as how there is no "after life" to look forward to. I would think you would spend more time trying to live each moment to the fullest instead of calling someone who "believes" an idiot for those beliefs.
The faith you have in not knowing is the same faith they have in knowing. 1 gives meaning and purpose to life the other, well most athiests like you, based on your tone are misreable and need to get laid!

douchebag!

oh, your arguement about the # of phd's etc who are on a site is funny. The Dumbnocrats talk about 300 economists stating that raising the minimum wage is a good thing. Some even have nobel prizes, the funny thing, of the 14,000 economists only 300 say it is good! not related but interesting since the dumbnocrats conned a bunch of idiots into voting for them! And on that subject look at the positions the dumbnocrats have on most issues, the dumbnocrats that won are very centrist to concervative lol!

Setec... I'm glad that you're basing my entire intelligence of one view I hold. lol, sebastya's remark is kind of encouraging. Even though I'm most likely smarter than you (IQ... Mensa tested ;) ) it's not worth my time. I don't have to prove anything to you. At least I hold to a view, instead of taking what's taught to me without actually thinking about it, and finding out for myself. And actually, I know a lot of people at AiG, and they're all very smart. If you even took the time to read some of their stuff, you'd see that even non-Christian scientists agree with most of what they view.

But go ahead, insult my intelligence, when it's all said and done, we'll see who's right ;)

I'd like to pat myself on the back for starting a thread that turned in to a flame war. Write this down on your schedules guys:
