If you can afford to pay for the thread why wouldn't you be charging upfront? Just creates the impression you're not confident about your work

I don't understand your question. I will charge upfront. But that is irrelevant. I offer design mock ups first. If you like them you can hire us. If you don't like them then don't. And most of my clients hire me without taking a design trial. This is for those who feel $100-200 is a big deal, I offer them free mock ups first. Because they don't buy otherwise.

Of course I'm confident. The thing is. You aren't. And I want to win your confidence so you can order :)
