Thanks for your understanding,

Thanks for adding something useful. I was wondering where the line was on dating sites... As i have had some banned and others allowed. Makes sense that I was banned for 'Smiley DLs, Ringtones, Gambling, and Sex Centered Dating'. Now to get banned for guns and pills and spying and I've rounded out my day!

Has anyone else gotten a good response from them?

I have been building something else over the past 24-48 hours
(Which from what Croatbag (nice name btw) was saying should fit within there.

Now here is my question: Does this mean the site can't have a banner advertisement from a ring tone company? Or just that the Primary promotion can not be related to ring tones?

I'm just waiting to see how everything pans out. I wonder if larger media buys would be more successful, I wonder if you could do a buy of like $5k or something along those lines.

I'd guess they take about 4.3 seconds to examine each flyer and promptly disable it if it sneers back at them or if they feel an itch.

I put up a dating flyer and two college finder flyers. They let in two and banned the 2nd college flyer. After spending 20 minutes looking for an actual feedback/contact form, I found one and emailed them asking for something more than the stock "Unfortunately we cannot tell you which term(s) you violated" message.

Two days later they responded, apologizing for the misunderstanding and telling me I could reactivate the disabled flyer. So I guess the trick is tenacity -- if you're sure your flyer doesn't violate their Advertising Guidelines (slightly more informative than their TOS) then you can contact them and back it up. Chances are they might let you back in.

YMMV.

What about creating an app to make your own flyer or something like that. I just built an app facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=17699698936 and haven't released it to the general facebook population I think that this might be a good start.

I would guess you would need an app idea that is midly sticky then you can control the adds within the app and have people click on whatever you want. The really cool think is you can put stuff on peoples minifeed something like Hey! Bob just got a free iPhone click here to find out how" could be kick butt.

I can help with the app.

Why not build an app that you van run your own adds in. Make it a litle bit sticky then rotate your offers inside of it. I just built my first app and I am excited to see how it spreads. I link off to half.com and amazon in the app.

I've been advertising for a few days selling my own ebook, but I'm using my affiliate sytem to track the sales. I have a page set up on the ebooks domain which just frame forwards to the affilate "style" link. No problems so far.
