This is a fun lil trick to do when bored. I think we're all familiar with this bitch:

Look at her foot and just force yourself to see it going in whatever direction you want. That's the easiest way to see her rotating in any way you wish. That's what I do anyway. Also, I 100% can get her to change at will when I close my eyes and picture her rotating in whatever direction i want. That's the surefire way of getting her to switch, but you need to visualize it well.

I can only get her to switch by covering up her body except for her legs. Then I can choose which direction.

Yeah I think it's a good exercise.

I found that I see it going clockwise for the most part, but once I start thinking about a math problem say 123+428 it immediately starts going anti-clockwise.2

Edit: I started staring at the foot + visualizing like you said. I can almost switch it at will now.

2nd edit: yup can switch at will now.

Cool huh? :) Try this, it's this is a bit tricky and will take some convincing of your mind. Bounce her from one direction to another when her upper leg is at either the left or rightmost extreme. The easiest way is to look at her foot again.

That way she's never spinning haha.

I'm too distracted by the jiggly parts...

sup duckyface?

In the animation, she switches direction automatically every once in a while.

Wow some of you guys are retards.

So, I've got this bridge for sale...

No actually she does not switch directions in the animation:

TL;DR - It's an illusion. There is no depth definition, therefore the ballerina spins in whatever direction your mind is inclined to see. It's one short animation that does not change. Period.

Haha, I was initially gonna say the same thing but she doesn't. I can always switch out the necker cube illusion in my head but I can't get this one to switch as easily cos it's moving.

Cool fookin beans.

Hmm, this ballerina girl in every freakin' pop-ups.. Anyway, it's really easy to figure it out which direction it is going.

WOW... Really???

ITT. Morons.

Yeah, who the fuck HASN'T SEEN THIS. If you're stating that it's old, go die please.

The point of the thread is being able to change the direction of the ballerina spinning through concentration.

Anyway, through more practice, I'm able to go left, right, left right etc. It's actually pretty cool.
