Steve Jobs steps down

This seriously sucks. I don't care if you hate the company, the products, and the fans. Apple Computer pushed shit forward. Whatever brand of smartphone you have, its existence was rapidly sped up by the iphone. If you have a tablet, thats because of the iPad. Apple brings more to the table then any other hardware company on Earth.
 


I have no head for investing... so I seriously do not understand why the shares go down whenever Jobs leaves/gets iller? Is not the prime principle of all business to hire smarter people than yourself? Is not Apple a masive conglomeration of sharp, savy people that have collectively been steered a little by Jobs to where ther are now? I'm pretty sure Jobs principles are set in stone in Apple and the next guy will be clever enough to stay true to them. So why the drop in share price?
 
^ The stock market often overreacts to things, but you sound like you're not familiar with what happened the last time Jobs choose a CEO.

QFT. Software as well. They are distinct from the other technology companies because they seamlessly integrate their hardware with their own operating systems.

imo Apple will be fine. Many people can keep a fire burning.

Few can start one as brilliant though.

I don't get this whole fanboy bullshit. People arguing over consoles, pc's and stuff.

Seriously, who actually gives a fuck? The tech from all people is great (The PS3, Xbox, PC, Mac, etc)
I just dont get why you would waste time having an argument over something so pointles..it's actually pretty pathetic.


The important thing about this: Steve Jobs was and still is a great leader, and a visionary. He revolutionised technology as we know it, and the iPhone is one of the best and most popular phones on the market today.

He was successful, will be successful, and I wish him the best of luck with his health and whatever he decides to do (Chairman i think he is now).

The only thing apple did, was create a bunch of bullshit patents to stop competition, and reinvent "steam" in the form of the app store. Fuck apple, fuck their shitty products, fuck steve jobs, and fuck all the autistic fanboi speds.

My iphone can't event import a calendar event from email.

My macbook pro can't even cut and paste a folder without the shell or an external app

The ipad can't even play a flash game.

Apple make shit products, and do their best to stop competition. Fuck them.

They integrate with themselves, and tell everyone else to fuck off. The only interface they have ever done well, was the ipod, and thats because it only does one thing... play music.

In some ways maybe, but I would say that Paul is more like Richard Stallman.

Microsoft and Apple are more like the typical democrats and republicans with their closed source software, digital rights management, their lawsuits against each other and others, etc.
