After a year in the game, I have started to really earn some real cash, which is the best feeling in the world. Here's my story.
I was introduced to affiliate marketing in early 2007 when I stumbled across Wealthy Affiliate. It looked promising, so I signed up @ $29.99. I read everything there, and got the basic concept of affiliate marketing. I set up a few campaigns with Adwords, and Clickbank and failed miserably. I lost around $100, and got extremely discouraged, and decided to give up.
I then found DP.
The next 3 - 4 months I spent reading DP, and buying every promising e-book, to be upset every single time because I was reading the same shit in every one. I made a few proxies, and flipped em, made a few bucks, but nothing special.
I felt like shit knowing all these fucking 'gurus' were making so much damn money selling their shitty shit.
In July I finally found a way to make some cash. I made about $20k in 3 months promoting some stuff in a very unethical way. I did not feel good about this money.
In August I found WF, but didn't end up registering till around December, I think.
I noticed a lot of people were making an huge amount of cash, every single day. I decided to take on PPC again with all the money I had made.
Ever since January I have been aggressively testing PPC. I failed many times, and found 2 profitable campaigns that have been running on auto for about 2 months providing me with around $3k profit a month.
Last month I decided to try something; break into a highly competitive niche. I found an offer, and some highly competitive, and highly searched keywords. I set a budget of $50 a day, with a $4 CPC, to achieve the 3rd position. I went to bed.
I woke up to check my stats and I had produced over $300 in revenue, I was stoked. I upped my budget, CPC, expanded keywords, and took keywords out that were not performing.
This campaign now makes me $X,XXX every day. I had finally found success.
To all the newbies reading this, this is what I learned in the past year.
- Don't waste your time buying ebooks
- Don't waste your time surfing DP
- Persistence pays off, big time
- Know in your mind that you will succeed, and you will
- Don't be afraid to spend money
- Don't give up
I know I love reading people's stories, they inspire me, so I thought I'd share mine. This post is only for inspiration, nothing more, nothing less.
Best to all of you, fuckers.
