Tanks Spotted on Jan 20th at Watsonville, CA Santa Cru

They're not M1 Abrams which is the US's primary battle tank and as they're green they're either fresh back from Iraq having been serviced or new / soon to be decommissioned units.

I don't think they're M60s either, look more like APCs.

Must be in case Ron Paul wins.

Edit: In fact they're Bradley's, which makes sense - just back from Iraq and been serviced.

Lol... I love how this guy thinks he's leaking news? 'OperationLeakS' indeed.

ummm, ok.....

You see, if the tanks were cruising around with hundreds of soldiers setting up checkpoints in the US, then that'd be newsworthy. It's just a bunch of tanks on a train though...

We get that in Thailand every couple of years, tanks cruising around with hundreds of soldiers setting up checkpoints. No big deal, just another military coup. Even gets kind of festive with gogo dancers for the troops -> BBC NEWS | Asia-Pacific | Thai generals ban go-go dancers My favorite quote "We have to maintain the seriousness of the coup," a military spokesman said.

The U.S. sure could use some of that.

yawn

I've seen hardware moving by rail through CA before multiple times over the past TWENTY YEARS.

Uh - it lands on a coast via ship and then has to get places for repair/service/shifting to another location/etc etc etc.

I don't get the point.

I remember when I was like 9 or 10 and driving through the Mojave desert with my dad to go fishing up in the June Lake area, we would see a train full of tanks on almost every trip. It was bitchin' when I was ten. Also, I used to see those big ass 6 axle people mover trucks driving from port hueneme down to (I assume) Pendleton all the time. Pretty weird to see a dozen military trucks on the freeway, but they have to get where they're going somehow.
