Task management software?

Task manager/PM system with calendar to attach docs

Anybody have the problem of running like 20+ clients SEO campaigns every month and forgetting what you've done for who, what packages you've ordered from forums, etc? Just happened to me this morning when I got an email from a service I ordered from on a new site that was quite aggressive (forgot about it) and I just ordered another monster package for it last night (way too aggressive for this site, at least when we're talking about clients).

So what I'm looking for is something other than Goog docs that shows me the calendar month by day that has the ability to attach notes, files, assigned employees, etc so I have a snapshot of what's going on per client.

So say every month I did a full backlink and local SEO campaign for client XYZ:

250 Social Bookmarks
100 manual blog comments
Submission to private blog network
GP and Biz directory reviews
Wiki mini net
Press Release wrting and submission
SB/XR blast to all live links from month

I'd want to be able to set this up on a calendar per client (have a view all or option to have dedicated calendars via a tab feature, 1 for each client). Put a start date with a file attachment or notes as to what I ordered as far KW's, URL's, etc. Once order was complete I could attach report to day received, add notes, etc.

What would really be killer is if a calendar had the function of:

1. a full view calendar by client
2. sub tabs with full view to be able to section off the calendar by each type of link package and task
3. A chat box attached to each task/project would be great too. So if I ordered a package I could invite the provider to chat via that exact task to keep communication organized and documented as well.
4. Export all to csv or pdf

Does anyone know of a PM system that can do all of this or very closely? I've tried quite a few but most just don't cut it and I end up frankensteining 5 different tools. I guess the best advantage to this would be a visual of the full month with attachments, notes, chats, emails, etc intead of JUST on a project or task basis, or JUST one client at a time vs having the option to just look at one client snapshot or have the option to look at your full portfolio of clients at the same time to see where you are ahead, behind, missing reports, etc.

I've already tried BC, Teamwork, wrike, active collab (free version), zen PM

Checking out springpad right now, pretty killer! Many unique features I haven't see before. This may be a great all around tool. I'll report back when I've used it for a few days and tried out all the features. Has SMS, firefox, goog calendar, RSS, chrome extensions as well

I am disappoint that no one here has mentioned Zoho Project Management.

http://projects.zoho.com

There is even a free version that I use with outsourcers, just load up tasks (& even make templates out of task lists for rapid deployment) and it's got everything you need for free.

It integrates with google docs, gmail, and tons of other services, has its' own built in Chat, wiki, forums, comment wall, milestone tracking, Gantt charts, task dependencies, etc... A real fortune 100 solution.

Even Basecamp can't compare. This is the schiznit you all seek!

True. Free for a single project. I used it for a while, and it was good.

I tend to build my own stuff, then abandon it shortly thereafter. Therefore, my recommendation is my own creation, basictodo.com

I'm pretty sure turbolapp is the only actual user of that site

Tried it. Didn't think it was very user friendly and felt a little cluttered. Just like them all, had a ton of great features but not the full package to me (if there is such a thing).

Came here to say this. Ownership of data was a big part of this choice.

Didn't active collab just update with 2.0 or something? I know when I was looking at it about 3 months back there seemed to be alot of people on the forums upset about how long they were taking on some major update and ignoring current trouble tickets and bugs.

Has it updated? If so, what do you think about the new version?

Also, I did not see a white label options listed on features? For $500+ per year + support costs I'd hope we could.

Not sure. I haven't upgraded in a year or so. Have some custom mods on it. I have zero issues with bugs thankfully.

TaskWarrior is a pretty awesome command line program.

But I've come to accept that nothing can replace a pen and notebook. There's a lot of procrastination, masturbation, and productive illusion in looking for better task management tools.
