The disdain for Shoemoney?

In a brief conversation with him he seemed like a nice guy. I've heard a lot of other people say the same thing. There is a difference in the guy and the guy's business.

As for his blog, I don't fault anyone for making a buck. I am always skeptical of those who want to make money like that. Gives off a vibe of those guys selling at-home businesses on TV at 3am.

I guess I'm confused why someone who has claimed to have made so much money is spending his time blogging for referrals and running small conferences that require a lot of work and not a huge financial reward. Maybe it's just a different personality I have, but if I was making huge money affiliate marketing, I wouldn't be wasting my time blogging and running shows. I'd just make as much as I could and sit on a beach and using my financial clout to bang some hot sluts.

I think it was a change of heart for some people when they met him at the party in NYC during ASE. He's a good guy, and his blog is business/personal and sometimes people take him too seriously.

I think Shoemoney is an interesting guy. I have not really kept up with him for awhile, but I owe him a lot as it was some stuff he said many years ago that actually sparked me to turn the corner on my marketing business to actually make it successful. He didn't directly have anything to do with it... just some basic information and tips he shared that made things finally click in place for me way back when...

He is a self-promoter and nothing wrong with that... unfortunately Internet Marketing is full of self-promoting douche-bags, blowhards and massive charlatans. I have spent the last couple days just doing some general research on PPC/SEO/IM and I need a toxic scrub down I feel so dirty. I would say by the measuring stick that is Internet Marketing and self-promoting, Jeremy is a Mother Theresa-esque figure.

I have not always agreed with everything he has said and done, and I think he pretends like he is being more forthcoming than he really is... but he is not seemingly doing anything to hurt anyone that I know of...
