The 'Elite' Retreat

I'll say that I could probably learn a ton new things from shoe and shit, Kris Jones... I bet he knows a lot of things I've overlooked and haven't thought of. But $5k... not so sure about that. $500 plus free lunches I may do the 30 minute drive ;-).

I understand everybody is anti-lee around here, so you bash the "elite retreat"... which is a pretty ghey name. But I think the right person could take more than $5k worth of knowledge away from that "conference" easily.

All bashing and shitting aside, Elite Retreat truly sounds like a great investment. I highly recommend you check it out.

If $5k sounds too much you don't have the right mindset.
If you feel you have nothing to learn from these folks and you either know-it-all or can find-it-all on forums, think again.

If anything, I feel EliteRetreat is under-priced.

I am the Project Manager for Elite Retreat, and I thank my friends on WF for supporting my event. I respect everyone's opinions here, which is why I am not going to sit here and argue about it. If I get offended, I just won't be a part of the WF forum :)

Ok, so I was there at the last Elite Retreat in San Antonio and here's my assessment:

It IS pricey, but that being said, it was one of the best conferences I have ever been to. The presenters were excellent, knowledgeable and "no nonsense" when it came to explaining what was up.

The conference is designed to give each attendee one-on-one time with each presenter to talk about their personal projects.

There are no sales pitches.

The networking aspect is great because you get to talk with all the other attendees about their projects/techniques/ideas.

It's a very intense two days. The whole group was together from 9am-6pm and then we all went out to dinner/drinking from 7pm on. Both days!

We got a voucher for a one hour consultation with each presenter AFTER the conference.

The presenters will discuss pretty much anything you have questions about within their span of knowledge and if they don't know, they know somebody who does. Again networking.

Chrislingle's finance DOES rock. She did a great job of organizing the whole thing and is amusing as HELL to boot.

All the presenters are cool people in general to talk with/hang out with.

I won't be at the on in San Fran but I will be going to the Orlando one only because I can drive there.

If anyone has any other serious questions about my experience at the conference, feel free to PM me.

Don't forget to buy 10 e-books on how to make money too!

All kidding aside, you're only going to get out of it what you put in to it. If you don't have the $5k to go, then don't bash it because you are poor.

If I could afford it, I would love to go. From what I understand, it is a very small conference so you get a lot more face time with people that are at the level that most of us just dream about right now. So, how is that a bad thing? If you don't like a presenter for personal reasons, that doesn't make the conference bad.

I think too many people are bashing it because it is supposed to be a more intense, business oriented affair as opposed to Affiliate Summit (which was awesome) where many people decided to just party it up, as opposed to trying to learn something new or network. Again, you get out of it what you put into it.

Just my 2 cents. Nothing more, nothing less.

I am not trying to bash it, I seriously thought it might be a joke. Honestly, I understand how it could be that much, and I myself feel it is over priced I don't care how much knowledge I take away.

I learn a lot of information here to bring in money but they don't charge $5k. Seems silly however good the information is.

These things never cease to amaze me. Stop hating and start looking for a way to learn & profit.

What's it to you if someone spends $5000 in order to earn $10000 ?!

Judgments, judgments, everywhere...

I've read that people who went really got a total, hands-on experience at Elite Retreat. These guys and gals were showing atendees how to make money from start to finish, including

-researching niches
-researching keywords
-site/landing page setup
-keyword research + management

^- should note here that people are logging into their OWN, ACTUAL accounts here. I'm sure there are a lot of people here at WF that would pay to see Shoemoney manage his campaigns. Maybe Jeremy (if you still lurk here) can verify this stuff?

Again, this is just from what I've read from people who went to the first conference.

Sounds pretty awesome to be honest, the hands on approach is definitley the thing to look out for at conferences as some if not most are a case of "sit down and listen, maybe sip at your water for 3 hours before eating at a bullshit buffet lunch".

Glad to hear the reviews about it :)

The ER was WAY worth it *for me* and I can say that specifically, Jeremy has been a HUGE help. We have emailed on several different occasions on specific topics, and he has gone out of his way to help me.

It's so much different to sit down with someone in person - one on one - to talk about just your business.

Not only that, but there are meals where the group is so small that everyone gets to talk to each other, going out at night, etc. It's not just sitting and listening - it's total interaction for two days with some really smart people.

Anyone comparing this to reading stuff online, it's NOT the same. Trust me. Having read everything you guys have probably read, I can tell you that it's just not the same thing. I was really shocked at how transparent the leaders were and how willing they were to log into accounts and let us ask away about what was contained in them. Even the "Exactly *how* do you do XYZ?" questions.

If anyone has any specific questions, I am happy to answer. Just play nice about it. :)

(Oh, and Andrea did amazing job coordinating. She had the hotel people at her feet and everything went perfectly.)

I think the pic of Aaron Wall is making me think of Brendan Fraser. By the way, why doesn't his ebook get any smack when it's the same thing as any other ebook.
