I'm pretty pissed, but I can't afford to get angry. When you get angry your brain releases an enzyme in your head that temporarily lowers your IQ. That's why when you see people go off, they can he heard sometimes saying "I'm so angry I can't think".

Here is my gift to the last remaining SEOers after today.

... The time has come... to release the KKraken...

I wonder if there is a "smart" enzyme?

Its probably called: Wife

Internal search and discovery searches tend to be different. At least on the sites I have been involved with.

But thanks for another enlightening post. Your perfect record has not been broken.

No problem. Let me know if you need anything else.

I'm not sure I understand. Is the "organic search traffic" in google analytics going to go away entirely? That's the ONLY thing I look at when I fire up analytics. I see a lot of "not provided" but that's been for a while. I still see my organic search traffic as of today.

Ya'll break it down for me, simple style, what changed exactly?

lol remember when Google was trying to convince you that logged in users using secure search would mean you wouldn't be able to see keyword data for only 10% of your search traffic?

This was the plan all along and the writing has been on the wall. Please tell me no one who has been watching the "not shown" numbers increasing month after month didn't see this coming.

OK, sorry, back to watching the vultures who sell PPC coaching or related services suddenly become keenly interested in sig spots in this thread.

The significance is that SEOs will no longer be able to get conversion data on a keyword level for free, they will have to pay for it. The good SEOs did this already though. Most don't track conversion metrics anyway, I imagine lol.

Keep in mind you'll still see referral data from other search engines. While it represents a very small piece of the pie, it is something.

I along with everyone else (im guessing) spend more time looking at rankings than referral data, so the change doesn't affect me too much... but its still a bummer getting data hidden from you.

I.e., you can still play cards, but if you want to see google's cards you gotta pay. Guess I'm not a good SEO. FML. :food-smiley-002:

I'm happy, the game gets harder. More noobs will quit and only the best will remain.

Btw, isn't this kind of old news? They were announcing this from one year ago.

Brb, tweaking my adwords campaigns (just got into PPC recently, at the right time haha).
