The End

My wishes and prayers are with you man. I hope this thread serves its purpose to convince a few readers to at-least try to quit smoking for their own good.

Yeah man, I've been trying to get my mother to stop smoking ever since I was 10 years old. Here we are 10 years later, and she still smokes. Its just one of those things it doesn't matter how bad you want someone to stop, they have to want it before they're able to.

My 85 year old father is dying of cancer and other issues. I know about the heartache and stress a time like this can cause. No words can fully describe it. :(

None of us could EVER understand your pain. I hope that your brother finds peace, and that you develop an understanding and appreciation of life that few people know. You probably already have. I wish you the best. Take care.

I wish you the best. It's always difficult when a close family member is about to pass, but so young at 29 is just terrible. I can't imagine the pain you and your family is going through, I hope everything goes well. A close member in my family has lung cancer and she never smoked a cigarette a day in her life, that's also frustrating. I don't know what I will do once she passes.

I've also tried to get my dad to stop smoking but he just refuses or just tries to hide it.

Father in law has lung cancer and emphysema. Not sure which is going to take him first. My husband smoked heavily for 20 years before we met. I worry all the time that he quit too late.

Damn 29, was a 3 pack a day smoker? My grandparents smoked until the day they died (84, 87). I figured if I made it to 84 I'd be pretty happy.

I'm 100% against the government telling us what we can and can't do however I'm 100% for the government totally banning cigarettes in the U.S. It seems like they affect nearly every family in America - and NEVER in a positive way. The cost in human lives lost is unmeasurable.

My mom has COPD and still won't quit.....so sad.

I don't know you, but I certainly do feel for you. I know how tough it is. I remember my grandfather dying from lung complications, and he still couldn't bring himself to quit. Please, don't start in the first place! Those things enslave people.

This is of course, you know, impossible.

Sounds like your head is firmly between a rock and a hardplace then... Pick a side, man! Which of the two problems (Socialist America v/s evil tobacco corporations) would you side with if there was a full-out war?

(There very well may be some day.)

Guys,

I just heard from Austin and he's trying to finish up all pending orders (talk about a man that keeps his word).

The bottom line is this, he's not taking any new orders until further notice.

All our thoughts and prayers are with you Austin...

Wow, that's real sad. I've lost a family member before as well, not to smoking but to alcohol use. I know how it feels, and I hope people do listen to your advice because in the end it doesn't only hurt them, but also their loved ones.

Be strong, I'll pray for your family.

Stay strong brother, and celebrate his life. I just put out my last cigarette.

Sorry Dude. My grandmother is in the same sitch- gonna pass any day. Smoking kills.

Sorry to hear that mate, you just can't tell smokers... they take the Bill Hicks attitude (and look where it got him).

Sorry to hear that man. My dad checked out way too early from pancreatic cancer in 96 so I sort of know where you're coming from.

Be strong, chin up, and remember the good times!

Sorry to hear this. All regards to you and your family.

i quit a few years ago, fuck smoking.

best of luck man <3

Sorry to hear that. Had a brother pass away when I was a kid, hope you get through it ok.

Sorry to hear about this man. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Prayers are for pussies; but my best wishes are with you and his family.

man, that just sucks. I lost both my mom and dad at different times due to smoking. I totally understand man. My thoughts and wishes are with you!

sorry about that Man. Prayers are with you.

I just lost my cousin to Stage 4 Lung Cancer, she was a lifelong smoker.

I smoked as a kid and now in my 40's I have asthma and other lung issues. I have done a lot of fucked up things in my life but if there is one thing I would change it would be to never have started smoking.

Seriously.

I just went through something similar, sorry to hear about your loss.

Sorry to hear - best wishes to you and your family.

Sorry to here this man. Stay strong.

jesus 29 and dying of cancer sticks? how long did he smoke for?

.... my time is coming apparently.

I buried my brother last year on my birthday so I can feel your pain. Stay strong <3

Fuck smoking :( Stay strong man.

Damn that's fucked up... At least you can prevent others from doing the same

I cannot express how thankful I am for your prayers. Thank you to each and everyone of you on behalf of my family and me. It brings me great regret to announce that at 0315AM Leo passed away peacefully. Funeral preparations are on and is expected to be held this Tuesday. Please do continue to pray for his soul.

An additional Thank You goes out to all my clients for giving me an extended gap to finish off their projects. I just want to let you know that once all this is over, I shall be delivering your content. You guys mean a lot to me and I would not want to disappoint you.

I really don't know what to say. Be strong @AustinP.

I'm sure your brother is in a good place now. My prayers are with your family man.

+1. I sometimes wish alcohol, cigarettes, weed, every psychoactive substance there is (even caffeine) never existed.

I smoke cigarettes daily, weed a fair amount, drink occasionally and in the past I've dabbled in various other things. Tbh, some of these times were the best times of my life but if NONE of this EVER existed nobody would know any better and the world would be able to focus on going forward, not going back.

I'm sorry about your brother Austin, I can't even imagine what it would be like if my brother was going through the same thing. Keep your head up for him.

EDIT: Just saw your last post. I'm deeply sorry for your loss mate
