Ok, first of all I know you guys have heard of a LOT of million dollar schemes. This doesn't count as all the other ones considering how the idea is structured (and the website isn't owned by me):

You can view his press release here:
http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/9/prweb438395.htm

He's raised a little over $2,500 in donations and he displays a link to the top 100 donator's website with the anchor text of their choosing.

I really doubt it, it's not a business model that you can rinse and repeat.
The first concept was truly original, that's why it got so much (free) press.

Damn, his sales are shooting up quickly. Shoemoney even bought a spot on his site! I checked this morning and he was at about $2400 now hes at $3200.

Yeah you do make a point, but I think this is the farthest someone has come with the same idea, if his site was a PR6 - then it would have been a different idea!

lol, yeah it's amazing..

Holy crap. I bought a link on there for a few bucks a long time ago, and I used to get decent traffic off it. I had not checked the site for a long time, but I am long off the first page. The few weeks I checked it, I was in the top 20.. Like I said though, been a while.

Yeah the minimum right now is $6..

Even if he only got to $100,000 I think his site would be a success compared to the hundreds of million dollar homepage clones that popped up.
