The Stig Revealed

They revealed it on the show last year, its no mystery anymore. Welcome to 2009.

You didn't seriously believe it was Michael Schumacher.... ? Sort it out.

The driver revealed to be The Stig from BBC's Top Gear is a former specialist SAS driving instructor who trained servicemen in the art of 'high-speed escape and evade tactics'.
Ben Collins was unmasked yesterday when he won the right to publish his autobiography after seven years as Top Gear's mysterious driving expert.

If your going to be arrogant at least get it right ;)

Now, I kind of feel like I did when I found out Santa Claus was actually just my parents. I already miss the mystique of the mystery man behind the bad-ass helmet.. :(

Stig number 3?

just went on a top gear marathon the other day to catch up on a season I haven't seen.

I was crackin up when they made police cars for under 1k and jeremy tries to pit the stig. Hilarity. Stig #2 = bamf

People thought it was Collins before this, but the pic (taken last year) pretty much proved it:

It's been known for a bit of time now. A quick search would have revealed it.

As for his job, he's gone. The Stig has written into their contract that if their identity is revealed, then they lose the job. I'm not sure why he'd want to reveal himself; I'd rather drive those cars for a living than make a bit of money from a book and have everyone think I'm a stupid cunt. "Some say he should have kept his mouth shut..."

They'll just do like they did with the previous Stigs and get a new one.

Wow.. didn't know TG was popular outside the UK

I have been downloading Top Gear from TVTorrents for years.

The BBC America episodes are always old and have 15 minutes cut out for commercials.

The episodes on Discovery or the Science channel also had the 15 minutes removed and were even more "Americanized" with British English to American English translations on the screen and other changes.

There is supposed to be a real US version like the Australian and Russian versions coming to the History Channel this fall. It doesn't look nearly as good as the UK version from the trailers though. The US hosts seem boring to me.

We get Top Gear every single day, sometimes 4-5 hours on channel Dave in the UK
