Good contribution. So what the video is saying is: if you let the rice cool in the pan, then stir it thoroughly, then put it in sterile jars / pots, there will be no difference in the results at the end of 30 days.

Maybe.

Someone here should try it but over a longer period and record it for us, complete with spoons.
 
I'm about to grow some veg at home so will try this. In cases like this I don't disregard until I've tested myself.

The problem with this is since your emotions are affecting the outcome (assuming it's true), your personal bias will determine the success of the results. People go into this study either believing it or trying to prove it false. This will affect the emotion they put into the experiment and therefore affect the end result.
 
Maybe Dr Masaru Emoto's real experiment was to see how many idiots he can get to talk to their food every day for a month?

I watched about 2 minutes of it and said wtf to myself as well. The first thing I thought was "what process was used for sterilization of both the rice and the jars.". It's convient how they leave that part out and only have 1 sample for each situation.

There is no maybe. It's pretty much the same process with growing mushrooms from spore syringes. If you fuck up the sterilization you introduce things in there that shouldn't be. That's why two jars are bad; it's the contaminates.

I hear what you're saying but despite that the examples shown in the video showed results more or less consistent with the emotions used on the pot didn't they? The 'fuck you' pots look like shit, the 'thank you' pots look ok, the ignored pots also look like shit. Which is what makes it interesting ... unless those people were lying.
 
They didnt even have to lie. If enough people tried this experiment, some would get results (for whatever reasons) consistent with his theories. Most of those who got different results wouldnt bother sending in their videos and even if they did - he obviously wouldnt want to include those results in the video.
