Non-fragmenting 223/556 ammo does a number on deer. The problem is that for humans, light+fast ammo is most effective. For deer you need a heavy round with a thick jacket.
Ding ding.

What is the difference in price between an assault rifle and a handgun? (which im assuming is the main tool of gun murder).
It mentions that only 2% of gun murders are committed using an assault rifle yet surely handguns are far more common and inexpensive than assault rifles? The argument seems to be pushing us towards believing that assault rifles are of far less menace of handguns yet I imagine if the price and abundance of assault rifles and handguns were swapped, it would most likely be the other way round? (Not completely though because it's much easier to conceal a handgun).
I'm not making the argument of whether they should be banned or not, I just feel like the argumentative style was a little ... manipulative.
I actually like it better than an infographic. It forces the user to engage by using the arrow keys. Infographics are busy looking and info tends to get skipped over on them.
You keep saying exactly what I'm thinking. This will probably scare you, but just go with it.
Maybe an infographic with that info would be better.
You are probably right. If I wasn't so fucking busy I might actually take a crack at it.
The truth is, the way things stand now, any one of us could be murdered anytime, almost anywhere by a maniac with an assault weapon spraying bullets. In movie theater, in school, at the mall while shopping for underwear.
I guess we need to accept mass slaughter on a regular basis as the price of freedom. I see a market for designer bullet-proof vests for children and adults. Anybody promoting in this niche?
Thank god for our freedoms, and god bless America.
Yes, we could and so what? It's clear the right to buy any kind of weapon is a god-given American right that is far more important than public safety. I would give my life to ensure that the mentally ill and felons have the right to buy assault weapons. Wouldn't you? This is the American way.Oh look, someone's been reading the liberal media. AT ANY MOMENT WE COULD BE GUNNED DOWN!
mass slaughter on a regular basis
You're right. Death by lightning is a tragedy. A schoolroom full of murdered children is just collateral damage. Our freedom to pack heat is more important than the right to live.More deaths are caused by lightning, and in some years more deaths are caused by vending machines tipping over onto people.
Are mass killings on the increase? Criminologist says no - CNN.com

Yes, of course. I have no problem with the mentally sick and violent having weapons that can spray bullets. Death by gunfire is the American way. :banana_sml:Yep, because that is exactly what is going on. There is a 1 to 1 relationship with freedom to gun deaths. And gun rights means the right to sell to crazies and felons. And banning guns would end all gun related violence and mass murders, ensuring public safety (minus the 50 other things that cause more deaths than guns). You've nailed it.
Use your brain. Read actual facts. Stop playing sheep.
Just give baby a gun. There you go, problem solved."In the United States, you are 10 times more likely to die by homicide -- to be murdered -- on the day you are born than at any other time during your life...
number of children in US history killed at school by "assault rifles" = less than 50 ?
number of US infant homicides 1989 to 1998 = 3,312
Infant Murder – CDC Study Shows Newborns Face Highest Risk of Being Murdered
"In the United States, you are 10 times more likely to die by homicide -- to be murdered -- on the day you are born than at any other time during your life...
Among infants murdered on their day of birth, 89 percent were not born in a hospital, and 89 percent of known perpetrators were women, usually the mother. Additionally, CDC reports that mothers who kill their infants are more likely to be adolescents and have a history of mental illness."
Should the law require female adolescents and females with a history of mental illness to be on birth control?
At risk children need to be protected from mentally ill mothers,
