I got a few beekeepers in my family.

If you smoke them, it calms them down but they might still try to sting you. I wouldn't attempt anything without a suit. At the very least you need head protection and some thick clothes all taped together so they can't get in.

We're definitely talking hundreds here. I took this with a 55x200 lens and I wasn't about to get any closer than 50 feet.

Tried the .22 from about 150 feet. Only caused a stir and they went back to business as usual. I'm just gonna let them chill and hope they're gone in the AM before my gardener gets here.

So a shit load of bees swarmed in to my back yard and landed on a tree by my kids swing set. They don't appear to be leaving anytime soon and, judging from their behavior, they may be Africanized bees (killer bees, not nigga bees).

I need to eradicate this hazard as soon as possible. What should I do?

dude, just spray them with the hose for a couple hours. i used to do that shit as a kid...they won't pick up on it if you're more than 30 ft away or so. if they do, just run inside and resume 10 min later. or just spray them with raid or that foam stuff if you want them dead quicker.

Jarred is on the ball here, if you are chicken and ride motorcycle just put on your gear and a nice scarf and you are sting proof and can do whatever you like to them. We usually just soak the nest in gas and light it up.
