Times Square bomb plot suspect arrested 'at last second' - CNN.com

I have a feeling this guy is going to have a bad day today. Good luck bros.

Glad they caught him, but what this shows is how vulnerable NYC (or any city in the US) is to car bombs.

If this guy wasn't a Grade A retard (he did so many things wrong, from how he bought the car, to trying to make the bomb, etc...), he could have killed thousands of people.

LOL Pakis.
Pakis LOL.

I was wondering if any Indian WF'ers were going to take notice of equating Sumit with a Paki.

A Paki once told me the quickest way to pick a fight with another Paki is to call him an Indian, it works in reverse too. Needless to say, once he told us that it was on.

What galls me is the fact that this stupid shit got a US citizenship. This guy is a citizen since 2009, and his wife who can't even speak English is a legal resident. Why such good treatment for those who come here from a country known to harbor terrorists?

OTOH, we round up and deport Mexicans who want to come here to work at jobs most Americans don't want to do, and let them die in the desert trying to get in. Something is seriously wrong with our priorities.

Just playing Devil's Advocate here, but should we turn away all people from countries that are known to harbor terrorists? What if I'm just trying to escape my shithole country? Also, we deport Mexicans and other illegal immigrants who attempt to or have entered the country illegally, meaning without going through the proper processes. Kind of comparing apples to oranges.

I really don't know. I'm not anti-immigrant in any way, but I think there needs to be a better screening process for those who want to emigrate here legally. So much attention is given to the illegals, but not much is said about screening for types like this guy. The fact that the bomber wannabe and the Fort Hood shooter were legal citizens, and both went on rampages, bears this out.

Can't we do better than this?

Poor Sumit. We could use a little wisdom from Vishnu right now.

^ This.

read the whole CNN article. it was very informative and full of facts about what they currently know about the guy and didn't try to make any outrageous claims in an attempt to ensue mob mentality against an entire race, country or religion for the actions of one person.

After reading it i was like wow that was informative news with no spin. I wonder what fox news has to say about it.

Pakistani intelligence pick up his relatives: WRAPUP 1-Pakistan arrests relatives of NY bomb suspect | Reuters Good fucking riddance.

I doubt the real relatives will ever be picked up:
"Shahzad's father is a retired senior officer in the Pakistani Air Force, Shahzad's cousin, Kafayat Ali, said Tuesday."
Source: Times Square suspect had explosives training, documents say - CNN.com

Not blaming the whole country, but it is a fact that North Western region of Pakistan is the origin of many worldwide terrorist plots - either directly or indirectly.

Please explain to me how that headline is inaccurate.

Was he trained in China? Or was the bomb found in London? Was he trying to murder Canadians?

I must be confused.

I would assume it is much more insulting to be called a "Paki" for an Indian. And pretty much a compliment for a Paki to be called an "Indian."

India is growing economy which has given science many advancements and is the home of many intellectuals. in science and math.
Pakistan umm.. is pretty much a failed country.
