They Caught the Time Square Bomber

I would assume it is much more insulting to be called a "Paki" for an Indian. And pretty much a compliment for a Paki to be called an "Indian."

India is growing economy which has given science many advancements and is the home of many intellectuals. in science and math.
Pakistan umm.. is pretty much a failed country.

Lol pakistan is one corrupt ass motherfucker. India is too, but at least not so much at a national level.

awwww great. going to NY in a few days and probably gonna encounter huge pointless immigration lines again.

I agree. Sensationalist or not, that headline is accurate.

Really? Where is the proof he trained in Pakistan and with whom? What he didn't wouldn't require much training since it was pretty amateur hour. When you spread conjecture you loose credibility (fox, not you).

He is asking for a refund from - Pakistani Bomb Making Academy because he got an F this week from NYC.

A little off-topic, but fuck it:

India/Pakistan relations are fascinating. Ever seen the daily border closing ceremony between the two countries? It's un-fucking-real.

Please explain to me how that headline is inaccurate.

Was he trained in China? Or was the bomb found in London? Was he trying to murder Canadians?

I must be confused.
Yes you are confused, and also don't know how to read. He said nothing about the headline being inaccurate.

On topic: good fucking news.

OK, so what was inaccurate about it Drew?

Fox News is SO BIASED right? Everyone knows that right? But please tell me SPECIFICALLY how that article was inaccurate.

New front page image, who you sayin "they" huhhhh

I use a proxy/VPN to scrape and this moron cant even use one to buy a vehicle to use as a bomb in the financial center of the universe?

They had his IP from emails made to the craigslist listing. Amateur hour for someone that was not a suicide bomber.

Terrorists are morons in all ways.

That's why it fits the definition of a political spin. It is TECHNICALLY accurate, as its supposed to be. But its spun and worded in a way that inspires emotion and motivation to an alternative agenda or blame.

point:
When you see that headline, without knowing any further information, do you feel anger towards the man or the country?

You know I was right about to write a long-ass post about the whole India-Pakistan relationship -- but there is no way I can be objective in this issue due to my Indian Army background so I avoid writing such stuff publicly.

But just take a look at - Indo-Pakistani relations - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - and you will see that whenever India has tried to extend any sincere effort in trying to build a relationship with Pak, they have stabbed us in the back. Kargil war, Attack on the Indian Parliament, Jaipur Bombings, Mumbai Bombings and there have been credible reports that ISI is funding Maoist Revolution in some states of India to destabilize our country.

What is more frustrating is that Pakistan is US' bastard child. They do shit and then go hide behind US... and what America does is simply give them more free money and weapons to cause more troubles in India and helps whitewash the situation.

Here are two interesting reads for you --

Taking us for granted, not again- Hindustan Times

What does America have to hide?- Hindustan Times

You guys really need to get your foreign policy and immigration policy straight. As a matter of fact, Bush has a lot of respect in India for his stance towards Pakistan and what he did to build relationship with India.

Back to the failed terrorist state called Pakistan. They have failed again and again and again and again to be trustworthy by trying to deceive us... no way we can take them seriously ever again.

I just read this morning in the newspaper (sensationalist free commuter rag in Switzerland) that he is going to be on trial for attempted murder and "use of weapons of mass destruction"... WTF?

A car bomb is not a WMD... or is the US still desperately trying to find them?

God fucking forbid something like this stirs up any emotion. We wouldn't want to place blame on a country that is the fucking armpit of the ME.

Seriously, the place is like the North Korea of the ME. It's a fucking shithole with corrupt and inept leaders. There are a handful of countries that we have no business accepting immigrants from and Pakistan is one of them. Nothing but trouble form that place.

And I agree with the other people who pointed out that we deport Mexicans while shipping in violent Muslims. Like WTF is that all about?

Hard working Mexicans? Fuck no, deport those fuckers!

Violent Muslims who hate our country? Yes! Ship as many in here as you can find!

I guess you can count on several different laws:

The US Code provides several different definitions of weapons of mass destruction, applicable in different contexts:
For the general purposes of national defense,[20] US Code[21] defines a weapon of mass destruction as:
"any weapon or device that is intended, or has the capability, to cause death or serious bodily injury to a significant number of people through the release, dissemination, or impact of—
  • toxic or poisonous chemicals or their precursors;
  • a disease organism; or
  • radiation or radioactivity."[22]
OK, so this would rule out the car bomb, as neither chemicals, radiation or biological toxins were to be freed by the explosion.

I was only thinking of the WMDs the US was all in arms about finding in Iraq. If you take the FBI's definition, every country in the world has WMDs.

So.. when are you guys going to invade .... Hungary? Germany? England? France?

Journalism ethics and standards has 6 parts:
Truthfulness
Accuracy
Objectivity
Impartiality
Fairness

Public Accountability

Have whatever emotions you want on the bomber and feel free to have whatever opinion you want of the country but...oh nevermind...keep watching fox news, your life depends on it. When their millions of ignorant paranoid of everything they don't understand viewers eventually rally to decide who is a terrorist and who isn't you'll want to be on their side.

$1,300 for a used Pathfinder? Really?

Its inaccurate because he hasn't been found guilty of anything yet. Or is it only the wacko left leaning liberal outlets that adhere to fundamental ideas ike innocent until proven guilty and nonsense like that?
