Things to do in Los Angeles

Have a serious emergency, call 911, get yelled at followed by being arrested. Its a good time...

My bad. I thought this was in LA but its still fucked up non the less and im sure it happens across the US

That's fucked up, most people who father is having a stroke, is going to be agitated, stressed out, upset etc, and I don't know too many people who would not snap at an operator lecturing you about your verbal conduct as opposed to just hurrying the fuck up and dispatching an ambulance.

I fuckin LOVE the DECO architecture in LA man.
I know, and only lately they're starting to appreciate their history and protect these buildings. Speaking of the RKO Pantage above ^^ my grandmother's cousin (Phil Baker) was a famous game show host in the 1930s and his star is in front of the theater on Hollywood Boulevard.

just got ticket. JFK to SFO on 08/27, SFO to LGB on 08/31, LAX to JFK on 09/05. Finally decided to take flight to LA instead of bus. 1 hours vs 7 hours and it is only 10 more bucks

You can take the FlyAway bus from LAX to Union Station for $7, and the service now makes stops in Westwood and the SFV. It's a big, flashy bus in blue and they stop at all the terminals.

My suggestion is not to bus to LA - take the 1 hour flight.

Busing to LA will take like 8 hours+ and for most of it is just ugly cow fields that smell like piss.

Your call though.

SF has great sights to see and LA does. Enough for an entire trip without seeing the in between.

Best list by far. I'll add a few places as well.

LACMA
LA Live/Nokia Center/Staples Center
Hollywood Sign (you can hike there)
Universal Studios
Disneyland (its in the OC but close enough)
Discovery Zone
Natural History Museum
Magic Mountain (Six Flags)
Knotts Berry Farm (Another amusement park)
Medieval Times (fun for a one time deal)
3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica
Little Tokyo (great ramen, shabu shabu, sushi and mochi ice cream)
Venice Boardwalk
Main Street in Santa Monice
Abbot Kinney
Autry Museum of Western Heritage (if you like Westerns/Cowboys/John Wayne check this out)
Dodger Stadium

I barely touched the surface but there is a ridiculous amount of things to do in LA.

There's public transportation in LA? Just kidding = kind of.

You do know we aren't famous here for public transportation??

Hollywood Bowl
Pantages Theater
Santa Monica Pier
Getty Museum (getty.edu)
Huntington Library (in Pasadena - one of my favorites) and go to the Arboretum and Descanso Gardens while you're over there (huntington.org, arboretum.org, descansogardens.org)
La Brea Tarpits (tarpits.org)
Petersen Automotive Museum (petersen.org)
MOCA (moca.org)

Enough? If that's too much culture, hit the clubs on Sunset on a Friday or Saturday night and see where famous bands like The Doors first launched.

Really, there's not much to see in Beverly Hills.

Definitely check out Venice Beach/Boardwalk. Lots to see -- entertainers, cool little shops, places to eat and of course a great beach!
