PS3s work on cell processors. Right from the get go, they've actually been designed to be integrated with other units do be used as Clusters and distributed computing units.
Quad cores have not been. The newer i7's have some of this sort of thing in mind, but apparently it's not as well done as the cells are.
I'm better at talking to people, not machines, hence the reason I'm in marketing/promotions/sales.

Except I've got no fucking idea how to set computers up as a cluster, and very little inclination to learn something that technical for the sake of a few grand mark up on a fairly limited market.That's something you could easily to yourself! Take $10K and buy equipment 5-6 setups. Sell the shit out of it! I know a LOT of CS departments that would spend $3K on a solution like that out of the box.
