• Smoking tobacco is legal. Destroys DNA like a champ. Not good for your children. Same with alcohol.

• Guns are legal. Shoot someone and go to jail. Not good for your DNA, as in you won't be using it any time soon to make babies.

• Lysol is legal. Inhale it, get high, frolic naked in rush hour traffic. Not good for your future children.

• Wood varnish is legal. Use it long term without protection and get bonus DNA damage.

• Sodium laurel sulfate is legal. Causes allergic reactions in skin, nose, throat. It's in almost every baby shampoo you'll find.

• Mercury is legal for use as a preservative in shots. It's one of the most well recognized neurotoxins in history. Within hours of entering the world babies are mainlined with it.


What is your fascination with cannabis that makes you so forcefully rail against it despite that

• there are plenty of other legal substances that do much worse to DNA
• your thread title is difficult to defend given that many of our forefathers grew cannabis and some colonial laws actually mandated farmers to grow cannabis
• Cannabis was outlawed in large part after a concerted effort by Hearst yellow journalism and DuPont money to get it out of monopolized markets, not because your government gives a fuck about you
• people make choices that negatively affect the health of their children and future children in more ways than is possible to catalog, yet many of these choices are perfectly legal
• it's like, the most peaceful drug out there, man hahaaaaalalalaaaa

Many people in this thread would like marijuana use legalized because smoking a plant poses no harm to others. Given this position, it is reasonable to argue for legalizing any act that has zero victims.

The act of drinking and driving, in and of itself, falls into this category. No one is harmed by a driver gulping down a bottle of Jack, though they might be harmed if said driver crashes his car into them.

With the above in mind, I am asking whether people who advocate for legalizing drug use would also advocate for the abolishment of laws against drinking and driving.

Honestly nobody even cares that weed is legal here.
People that were going to smoke a bowl, watch a matrix marathon, and order pizza this weekend; were going to do it regardless.
Its business as usual. Dont worry the end is not near.

I say smoke your weed that's less competition for me, I'll stick to my vodka. Even know it will be tempting, since weed will be sold in the liquor store sometime soon :)

On one hand, I agree with you. My generation and the ones after me, are fucking losers and idiots.

On the other hand, go fuck yourself for disagreeing with marijuana being illegal. Only fucking tools and a sheep think marijuana should be illegal. If marijuana is illegal then fine, ciggs and booze should also be illegal. There is ZERO rational argument to keep marijuana illegal. The government doesn't give a FUCK about you or your health, it's just about control and keeping cops/prison guards employed.
