Sick and interesting band, thanks for the heads up. I love the quality of rise record's tracks. Check out Vision and Valor for sure, they are a local band around here in Seattle that are getting a huge record deal here real soon. Good to see someone on this forum has similar music taste.

They are pretty dope, I listened to everything they had on myspace I'll deff get there CD.

Thx

^^ I doubt he would like either of them...A good start would be Lupe Fiasco or Joe Budden...DJ Khaled Albums too since he likes wayne/tpain...

I agree, Lupe is a good second step, then maybe a little common, and if he feels he's ready then maybe some Paster Troy.

I'm obsessed with that DVD, and with BTBAM. Five of the best musicians in metal, all in the same group = sex. I can play literally every song on every album of theirs on drums. Been listening to them for 4-5 years :)

I watched it a few weeks back, it's #1 on the IMDB list of best documentaries, and I love the band, so I had to check it out.

Underoath != metal

EDIT: Nothing against Underoath, I love them, just saying they're not really metal :P Also not trying to start a genre war here.

Only band I've ever recording anything with was called Three For Fallacy, not exactly my favorite type of music but it's fun to play to. Here's the only song I recorded with them (terrible mix, never mastered):
