Top 5 Mozilla Addons - Must for everyone

Opera is the best browser on the market. You should give it a try. Pretty much every good feature in Firefox they copied from Opera in one way or another. It's also not a memory hog like FF.

EDIT:

here's a list of some popular Firefox addons and their Opera equivalent. Opera has a lot of their functionality built in by default.

Good to know, I might give Opera a try. I've been using Firefox with Firemin (3rd party program that stops Firefox from eating all your memory).

for me, opera is slow as fuck compared to chrome

For chrome this fellow have point ... if you are into adwords

Firefox sucks. I only use it since it's the best of a bad lot and I don't trust Chrome not to out my adwords accounts.

Unless you have 8 gigs or so of RAM, don't bother. And even then it would take up 7.5.

This comment is slightly peripheral to the topic of the OP but I thought it useful to add anyway. Firefox is the most extensible browser for sure -it's amazing the things you can do with it. But I've found that switching over to chrome has made me more productive. A lot of the plugins I used to have for firefox were there to give me extra work -things I could easily outsource and not think about again. Chrome is dead simple. Every time I feel an urge to install a software, a plugin or anything else I ask myself if I could outsource it. And usually it's a yes. I've stripped my laptop from a crap ton of software the past year as I handed all that nuts n bolts off to others and I'm better off it. In fact I can technically do all my work on my phone alone -although it would be unproductive and slow. That's just my two cents, but everytime I click download or install I ask myself once or twice if I really need this or if I can pass it off to someone else if necessary.
