I understand you're frustration and your cockiness in this matter.
But galacon just posted some solid advice there. And seniors like galacon & Kiopa are not wasting time giving you any advice.
You've no idea what you maybe up against when you out something like that (if you're still contemplating a legal recourse).
Also, it maybe a simple case of dynamic IPs - to say the least.
You know why they ask you to shut the fuck up when you're caught, arrested or even taken for questioning. It means that anything you say can & will be used against you in the court of law.
Posting on the internet is like screaming out in the public about something. Especially after one single email against that guy.
You're in for a doubt right now, you're guessing stuff up that maybe, just maybe, that guy guessed your passwords since you were so wise enough to have a single password for all your accounts & you didn't setup a temporary password before giving access to a programmer.
Also, his claim that he just might've been hacked could be true (even though there is a miniscule chance of that happening). Ever heard of BOTNETS?

Galacon may come off as a yeller but the guy is really sharp and has done more shit than 90% of the guys on this forum which is why I respect his advise. I actually thought that post was meant to help Seema and not as an insult. If it wasn't im sure Galacon would had a few more colorful words mixed in.

As the OP and accused are in the UK then there is really no worry about suing for liable as the lawyer would cost far more than he would be able to recover even if he won (which he most probably wouldn't). I also don't think the OP will bother suing him for 500 bucks, and if he does it would more than likely be in small claims anyway.
More than likely he'll just refer the matter to the police who won't give a shit about liable.
Don't forget that the US is the most litigious place on this planet and you would probably sue someone if you hurt your ass while using someone else s toilet paper. In the UK you don't sue someone unless you really have to and the money is big as the "damages" awarded are usually minimal and in line with damage done.

Yeah the reason why Galycon is clueless is because he knows nothing about the way things work over here in the UK and makes MANY assumptions of what could happen. There is certain evidence he cannot wash away unfortunately, even if he moves out of his home, dumps his PC and all his gear I still have him.

I could understand if it had been some random guy off some freelancer site but this was someone I have been in contact for over 2 years, chatted about all sorts of stuff including ideas regarding PPV campaigns. He knew full well I had accounts at Traffic Holder, TV and Media Traffic because we had discussed this loads on AIM. (I have the logs to prove this)
I have nothing to lose in any of this. I will bear no futher costs. All I will do is hand over to the authorities what I have from all the people I have spoken to and see what happens. If he gets prosecuted, good for him. If not karma will come for him another day.
The main point of this post was to warn others about him. If they are working with him beware.
