One of my all time favs:
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRIGWAyDzD8]Tiësto - Suburban Train (Original Mix) - YouTube[/ame]

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JU2HjLR-ts]Above and Beyond - Alone Tonight - YouTube[/ame]

Some good tunes there, but it's all newer stuff... how about some original classic trance tunes from first time around in 1993. Not as "lush" as the later stuff, but they have a stripped-down beauty of their own:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSh9RCm37SA]Vernon - Vernon's Wonderland - YouTube[/ame]

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POk9Lp5rxNo]Sven Vath - L'Esperanza - YouTube[/ame]

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ub4AzeZAiQA]Cygnus X The Orange Theme - YouTube[/ame]

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2e7tirXJ-M&feature=related]Jam & Spoon - Follow Me (Original Mix) "Full Track" - YouTube[/ame]

And the dancefloor tearing up monster AGE OF LOVE (always reminded me of knight rider theme tune, but a great tune)

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ct_5jJV80dw]AGE OF LOVE - YouTube[/ame]

Energy 52, another monster:

fffuuuuuck, listening to those still makes my spine tingle.

It seems that the popularity of trance rises and falls with the quality of Ecstasy available. In 1993, Cali Sunrises and Doves were still popular. Then it went to shit. 1999, Mitsubishis came out (blew yer fuckin head off). Dunno what they're called these days cos I don't really partake any more, but I've heard the good stuff is back on the market :cool-smiley-008:

@amateursurgeon - I am willing to bet that this is an Xrumer thread.

The guy created an account for an IM forum as notorious as Wickedfire to request Trance songs? Seems to good to be true.
Click to expand...

Probably... don't mind though. Just spent a very happy nostalgic 30 mins listening to those tunes. :)

my favorite is dark/psy. we have little trance gatherings here playing this music below... just ~60~ people, rented space for a weekend. it's really neat and easy to organize you guys should setup your own it's a great feeling and you meet cool people/hookups :D

i have a sound client that lets me use their equipment for free and i just play a stream with some light shows and projectors that my friend sets up and manage
